Friendly ladies, bread is always fresh. There are many different options of sweet bread and non sweet breads. I have noticed that the different times I've gone, I have been charged less for the large amount of breads I purchased. Then I went again for the same variation of baked goods just to get charged more. I'm not sure if it's due to different girls cashing me out, but that didn't make any sense. Overall, I recommend they have the best breads and cookies and affordable 3 leches cake (3 milk) for very affordable pricing.

We travel an hour to get fresh sugar donuts and Mexican bread, aka pan dulce. Lara is kind and friendly. Her place is very clean and smells like heaven when I walk in. This is a gem.

I stopped at Lara’s yesterday for the first time, and was greeted with wonderful smells and beautiful smiles! The staff was very, very kind. I told one of the girls I’d never been in before, and she proceeded to show me everything on display. All of the yummy baked goods and pastries are huge, and the prices are very very reasonable! I left with 7 treats and only paid $9.50. Awesome quality, astounding service, a joy to have in Marshalltown!

I searched for an M'town bakery and this popped up on Maps. So glad I stopped in. Patsy set me up with a sampler bag of items and all were great! The only problem is we should have picked out more items. The bread items were all good and the pastry was spot on, loved the turnover, and the one with cinnamon. And the prices were so reasonable! I will be back every time I come to town. Thanks Patsy!

I had never been to this bakery. But I called them in a rush to get a cake, that I had very little idea of what I wanted, for our granddaughters birthday. I told her please make it fluffy a and ombre. Lol. Terrible description. She made the most beautiful cake. Rose shapes all over the cake colored from pink to light purple. It was beautiful! We have gone back for their in store desserts also. Everything is so good.
