Ordered from there 3 times and every single time the orders have missed something. When questioned why my order wasn’t complete, I was told it was my fault for not checking and then I got charged and then also upcharged to simply complete my order and to get the missing food. When I ordered, I went based off of the advertised pictures posted on social media to then be missing the included components and then get charged for them. Customer service is horrible and rude. When placing orders they’re not familiar with their own pricing and menu. Will NOT be returning.

The expectation of a new restaurant is in most cases an intriguing experience because one does not know what to expect, and this can end in a pleasant and comfortable dinner, as well as in an unfortunate impasse between what we expect vs what we receive. .

To begin, I must clarify that at the time of attending this restaurant it was in what is called a “soft opening”, so changes may have been made since my last visit. Having clarified the above, I will relate my experience:

The restaurant underwent an extensive remodeling that is easily identifiable from the walls to the comforting armchairs to the tables and a large bar, which highlight a restaurant designed for large groups.

Speaking of the menu, as the name of the restaurant clearly shows us, it specializes in seafood. Given this specialization, the menu is large, going from basics like shrimp to more complex dishes like octopus and seafood towers.

In my particular case, I ordered a molcajete that included fried fish with shrimp and other accompaniments. At first glance, the fish did not seem to have been salted, as it did not have a clear flavor (nothing that the salt shaker on the table could not fix), the shrimp had a strong red color thanks to its preparation process, although it had a very strong flavor. predominant which overshadowed the natural flavor of the shrimp.

Touching on the point of service, I didn't see many waiters, but I assume they are not needed due to the time I went, since this is considered a dead hour (type 2:30 pm- 4:00 pm). The treatment was cordial, a little late despite the hour, but nothing makes you feel slighted.

After finishing the meal I asked for the bill and here several points came up that in my opinion are important. From the beginning, the menu prices are less affordable than those of other restaurants (we must be comfortable to go to eat and drink), at the end of the menu there is a notice of a service charge to your bill for groups of more than 6 people (He who warns not betray).

Given the above, my bill revealed two things that I did not expect, the first was a service charge proportional to the amount I consumed (I must clarify that I went alone), as well as two different amounts depending on how I was going to pay, whether with cash or credit , I assume that the credit card payment fee is paid by the diner and not the establishment, a fact that I did not see at any time on the menu, nor was it mentioned by the person who served me, who, by the way, did not know how to give an accurate answer to that question. These additional charges are important, since they are proportional to the amount you consume, that is, the more you spend, the more you will pay for the service charge and for processing the payment with a credit or debit card.

To close, the restaurant exudes a renewed atmosphere with an extensive menu of seafood brought together with prices above the average of other restaurants with similar dishes, in addition to the lack of a clear message regarding additional service charges. and payment processing.
