My wife and I peaked into restaurant to check it out, trying to decide where to eat while in Marshalltown. The hostess waved us in and was so friendly that we had our decision made for us.
The food was really good and the staff was friendly, helpful and fun. Overall.a great experience.

We frequent here often; as the 2 of us and with the whole family! We always get the Moscow mules, as they have lots of fun flavors that change up. One meal that has stuck with me was a brisket mac wrap. Most times I get two meals out of the portion sizes. We also enjoy getting 1/2 lb of some different meats and the cheesy potatoes as a side. Can’t go wrong with cheesy potatoes! The waitresses are always wonderful and very personable. Seating is comfortable throughout and you can usually feel pretty secluded in booth seating, and it’s more open with larger groups. Overall it’s one of our favorites and most frequented restaurants in town.
Cilantro lime peco chicken alfredo pasta was the best I've had. Totally recommend this dish.

We met some family members here for lunch. We were a group of 12, and the staff was very accommodating and patient. The food, however, was underwhelming at best. I ordered the two-meat BBQ combo with brisket and pork. Admittedly, my BBQ bar is set high, as I grew up in the South and spent many years in Texas. The brisket had little smoke flavor and was extremely dry. The pork chop was inedible. It was so overcooked that I could barely cut it, was dry, and had no flavor. I took one bite and that was enough. My wife had the chicken apple wrap which sounded wonderful, but was not. She had a couple of bites and left it. This may pass as BBQ in Iowa, but don't expect real BBQ or even a passing resemblance.

We came at the busiest time I suspect for them. So it did take a little while but boy was it worth it. Everything we had was delicious. My prime rib sandwich was to die for. I tried the mac and cheese and the pasta salad and now all I want to do is go back!

We had a great experience at Smokin’ G’s!! The food was terrific and the service was great. We had a large family group and had a table in the back that gave us room and an opportunity to talk.
definitely made a fan outta me, chicken nacho half portion was huge and dont get me started on that little chocolate bomb dessert thingy!
