You can't go wrong with Sub City! The staff is friendly and fun, and they always impress me with their memorization of the different sandwiches. And sandwiches can't be beat. It's a Marshalltown must!

If you know, you know! Sub City is hands down the best sandwich spot in Marshalltown (and honestly all of Iowa!). Every sub is massive, packed with fresh meats and cheese sliced right in front of you!
The staff here is so friendly, fun, and just genuinely good people. Every time I stop in they’re smiling and making everyone feel welcome. You can tell they genuinely love their job! Shout out to my girl Bre! 💕

Pro tip: they only take cash or check, so come prepared. Parking can be a little tricky, especially with the current construction happening downtown. Sometimes we have to park a little walk away, but I promise it’s SOOOO worth it!

Most importantly they only accept cash or check. The sandwiches are the very best subs I have ever had. They are flavorful and HUGE. Last time I went my husband and I split it and we had enough left for a small sandwich! Seriously the best. If we are headed to the area we stop.

I usually go in here to have a sandwich until I seen them cross contaminate food they used the same knife they used to cut a seafood salad sandwich and used it to cut my cold sandwich as if I’m not allergic to seafood and any other ingredient used such as mustard. I was saddened by this I will not go and get a sandwich from SubCity again.

When you look at it from the outside it looks not the best, but don’t judge a book by its cover. Sub city is delicious. Fresh cut meat, cheese, and veggies. These sandwiches are giant and are cheaper than subway or jimmy johns. I recommend going there if you are really hungry!
