Didn't try the bowling, but tried the arcade. There aren't very many games but there is a good variety of games to pick from including two-player games that you can play with your kids, the workers are also super kind, After a game didn't give me all my tickets the worker was able to give me all the lost tickets. Overall this place is a great location to bring your family! 5/5 Stars.
Great place to eat and play
Horrible experience- do not recommend. I called well in advance (Wed of last week) to tell them we would be coming and to reserve for 10-15 people at 12:30pm and that we would want to bowl. We get there today and the staff had no clue what was going on, nothing was set up. We got sent to a back room that smelled like sewage. I made several comments to the waitress and she ignored me, so I took it upon myself to prop the door open with a chair to get some air. We learn the arcade is shut down and my kids are upset (I’m met with blank stares from the staff). Then, the service was awful, waitress was rude and had an attitude. Food was ok but the pizza is not kid friendly and was dripping in grease. We decided to bowl after about an hour and they tell us that they are closing early and bowling is closed. This is very disappointing because at no point did anyone come and talk to us about this. We had planned to spend some significant time bowling so had to come up with something else to do with the kids. We get the check and even though I asked for it, she gives it to my husband to pay- who had no idea that gratuity was already added (not honestly sure why, the service was awful). So now we’ve double tipped after a horrible experience. I’ve been trying to contact Wayward Social to get this fixed and the phone just rings, can’t send a message on Facebook so I guess this is my only way to contact. Marshalltown is my hometown and I believe in supporting local. I am seriously disappointed with the experience today and hope that someone contacts me to resolve.
The pizza was good but the stench of rotten meat or plumbing issues was almost nauseating.
Really need to update hours. Google showed this as open till 8pm. Went to get my family a pizza at 6pm and CLOSED.
Great food. Exceptional service.
I went here for my high school's 20 year reunion party and it didn't disappoint. I used to come here in Middle school, high school, and college back when it was Totem Bowl. This place is much nicer and the staff is much nicer. Highly recommend.
Great Pizza, Fun bowling, Scam Arcade
Every thing was good the pizza was good and the people were nice but when we went to the arcade we spent $100 and we only got 175 tickets and we got 11 tiny toy skateboards, 2 plastic army people. My step daughter only got 4 tickets she couldn’t get any thing! 4 tickets on a $25 dollar card, really?
The arcade needs maintenence. Went here for my sons birthday, and when we would swipe our cards to play a game, our tokens would be taken, but we wouldn't be able to play. The chip reader in the kiosk that allows us to reload our arcade cards is broken, so I had to get cash. When we bowled, I told the cashier I wanted 2 lanes. 1 for our 4 kods, and 1 for me and my husband. He said that 1 lane would be cheaper and set us up on 1 lane. I told him I didn't care if it was cheaper, I wanted 2 lanes to make it fair for the 4 seven year olds I had with me. So he eventually set up 2 lanes, but he set them up with 3 people on each lane rather than 2 on 1 lane and 4 on the other. We eventually got it corrected but it was a hassle.
Had supper on the outside patio. I could definitely recommend the cauliflower crust for people who like a thin crust.

Food was good. Marshalltown has some very good food places!
Wayward Social has completely ruined our beloved Totem bowl bowling alley! It’s crammed, having to share seats & tables with the other lane unless you book both lanes. Cosmic bowling is now a joke as the cosmic lights are only above the lanes and the pretty bowling balls are gone leaving us with dull boring basic ones and the cool retro tables that changed features during cosmic bowling are gone. Finally, it’s hot as hell inside so if you want to work up a sweat without the work then you know where to go. The prior owners should have let Roger buy the building instead of selling out to wayward crap social. Needs to go! I used to love going bowling in my hometown
I went there for a birthday party. It is very clean and well-organized. The food was good. The staff was attentive and kind. A good place for large gatherings for fun.
Came in with my kids, you have to pay for a separate lane to put down bumpers as well as 30$ a game and outrageous priced food
My child went on a field trip there and I am disgusted to find out that this place allowed every single child in this field trip to bowl without proper bowling shoes. Not only did they not have proper bowling shoes but they were required to take off their regular shoes; so if they had dropped a bowling ball it would have landed directly on their socked toes.
