Friendly and highly professional service. Excellent menu. Cozy yet formal. Dined there both nights of my stay at the Historic Park Inn.

First time back since onset of pandemic- food was very good, calamari is back, wine choices were good- change is . purchase bottle n they will recork which I think is better, tables could be separated abit more- not everyone uses their “inside” voice. Nice evening,

We checked out The 1910 Cafe tonight for dinner. The building is a gem. Loved the history of the hotel and restaurant. The service was wonderful. Our server was friendly, helpful and accommodating. The food was awesome. I loved the creativity and flavors. I will definitely visit this restaurant again when in the area.

Five stars for the food. Nathan, Parker and Andrew deliver the real deal. The chateaubriand was perfectly rare, nicely aged and succulent. So tender I could cut it with a butter knife. The seasoning was perfect. The duck was medium rare with crisp skin and the best my husband has ever had. The bacon cheddar Brussels sprouts were tender crisp with a nice amount of bacon and cheese. Large enough to share. Save room for the black cherry gelato. More ice cream than gelato but worth the calories. The food is superb. This is not an inexpensive restaurant. Everything is ala cart even though they don't call it out. No bread basket when you're seated. Entrees don't include salad, potatoes or vegetables. The chateaubriand is just a piece of meat. Not so excellent is the service. It was so sub par I cannot recommend going there. We had reservations. When we arrived our table wasn't ready even though there were empty tables in the dining room. They set one up and seated us. We were left alone and forgotten. 15 minutes later we flagged a waitress down to take a drink order. At the same time she asked us for a food order. That was a sign we weren't going to get anymore attention. In for a penny, in for a pound. Since we had 7:45 reservations and it was after 8 pm when we placed our drink order we decided to wait it out. 8:30 came and went and still no food. We started to make a game of it. The restaurant stops serving at 9. Would our order make it out in time? Yes, we eventually got food. It was awesome. Thank you Nathan, Parker and Andrew. Husband of reviewer: This was some of the best food we have ever had in decades of eating in the mid-west including Lawry's, Stetson's, and the Kinzie Chophouse in Chicago. If not for the service, we would make the four hour trip (each way) and eat here again. My thanks to the the chefs for a great meal.

Drove across states on a whim about this place. And I must say it was most definitely worth the drive to this establishment. Though the pricing of the menu may be a bit more on the upscale as most of the other local choices. For the quality of food that was served it was worth the extra costs. I ordered that grilled duck which was fantastic, some of the best I've ever had. The wait staff was very knowledgeable about the selection of food and beverages, friendly and personable with the guests. Overall a wonderful experience and would recommend to anyone looking for a little extra class on their life

Would have given it a 5 but it was our first time going and when we got there nobody was around to tell us where to go. It's in the hotel but there are no signs or anything directing you to where the restaurant is. We ended up eating in the bar because that's all we could find. With that being said the food and service were excellent. The atmosphere was also very nice and relaxing. Would definitely recommend.

Wonderful food and atmosphere

The fries, Iowa salad, and salmon risotto were amazing. The fries had gooey cheese, Italian meats, etc. The salad was fresh and tasty with a peach vinaigrette. The salmon was perfect ( coming from the NW, high praise) and risotto was light and complemented the salmon well.

OK... I don't usually leave reviews. But tonight my wife and I had an exceptional dining experience. Kaylynn was our server. So professional, so nice. Right there every time we needed anything. Five-star plus. It was such a breath of fresh air to get world-class service during these difficult COVID times.I had the Chateaubriand... I can honestly say I have never had a more expertly prepared steak. This little restaurant in Mason City in the historic hotel designed by Frank Lloyd wright honestly deserves six stars overall. Also: you can really tell that they take their response to this year's hardships incredibly seriously. All the tables are appropriately socially distanced, and the standards of cleanliness are bordering on obsessive... But isn't that a relief? Ask them for the cheesecake with the bourbon caramel on it!

We had the most wonderful dinner at 1910 Grille! The food was very nice, the wine menu was impressive, and the place is spotless and clearly designed with an eye for Frank Lloyd Wright. Our server Kaylinn was delightful. I can’t wait to come back here. This is a place we would like to take friends and family. Highly recommend the pork medallions, the Chateaubriand, the naan, and the cheesecake. My husband used a butter knife to cut his steak. Oh my God, I love that.

Awesome muffuletta fries, chateaubriand, spicy pasta, and brussel sprouts. Couldn't eat it all and wish we lived closer so we could enjoy it often!
