I've had bbq all over from Kansas city to the Carolina's. Growing up in Texas i was spoiled with Terry Blacks and Texas style pit bbq. Forever I have been looking for something that was as mouth watering as it was tender. Look no more people hands down the best bbq in the Midwest and I would not hesitate to go toe to toe with the champ. The bbq is just the beginning of this flavor journey. The attention to detail, care and craftsmanship that goes into the homemade sides is fabulous. The sweet potato casserole just hits you in the face with a delicious smell and exquisite taste. I have yet to dine in but now that I have experienced this little gem, I will be sure and try and dine in the humble veteran inspired atmosphere. Get there early now that the secrets out they sell out quick. Plus you get the enjoyment of supporting a local small mom and pop restaurant. 10 out of 10 Absolutely fantastic

I’ve had BBQ all over the country and Dandy’s BBQ is easily the best I’ve ever had, the brisket and ribs are the best I’ve ever had, the sweet potatoe casserole is the tastiest side dish I’ve had in my life, and the scotcharoos are out of this world. I definitely recommend Dandy’s BBQ. They support our military as well.

Dandy's BBQ is a weekly must for our family! The ribs are the best around (fall of the bone) and the jalapeños BBQ sauce is perfection! We have never had anything on the meun that we didn't like. Staff are super friendly and we never leave with an empty belly and a smile of our face.

We used Dandy’s BBQ for our business Christmas party. Mandy was great and easy to work with! Even when we had to move the date due to snow storm. The food was good! They delivered it for us in warmers. Everyone raved especially about the brisket and beans! I loved the corn casserole and beans are next level! I also loved the “kids meals” they could provide for the kids with hot dog, chips, and cookie. It worked great!
Unbelievably great ribs - tasty sauces and the side dishes were some of the best ever. Small dining area. Great staff. A very talented chef! And they have a military tribute wall on which active duty and veterans are encouraged to sign in.

I discovered Dandy's by happenstance. I was looking for good barbecue in Mason City and realized there really isn't any. Then, I found Dandy's and I've been going there every week for a couple months! not only is the food delicious but the owners are beautiful people. They're funny and fun and it shows in their food that they love what they do. I absolutely recommend them! The Chicken Bombs are awesome but their ribs and brisket is equally so. Don't forget the SCOTCHAROO!!!❤️
