I was dining with my fiancé. We were greeted very kindly by Sandra. The service from Sandra throughout our time there was pleasant and she was very attentive. I was a sucker for the lighting inside to be honest. I ordered the seared salmon and my fiancé got the ribeye. The food looked and tasted fantastic.

Delicious beautifully prepared food in a quiet, upscale atmosphere. Great for a datenight.

Jennifer and I loved the food, great waitstaff and the decor. My pork steak was perfectly cooked and delicious. Jennifer had the Alfredo which was very good also. We were disappointed by how few people were enjoying this gem of an establishment on a Friday night. We'll be back. It was a treat.

The wine list was the best part and even it wasn’t stand out. Unfortunately Leadlight did disappoint. The food was mainstream, the decor was retro in an estate sale way, and the bathroom had an extension cord plugged into an extension cord…..hanging from the ceiling. The sac blanc I had was surprisingly bright with grapefruit notes that kept me interested but the pasta was definitely forgettable and the dishes lacked complexity. Frankly, it’s boring and older and in desperate need of new life for me to visit twice. Off to explore other gems in Mason City and hopeful it will be more in line with the hidden gem I am seeking.

Unexpectedly excellent! I’m from a big city with hundreds of good restaurants. The food, service & atmosphere here are on par with any in Atlanta. The beet salad, crab cake and salmon were all delicious. Cocktails were also yummy. Have a drink in the comfy basement speakeasy before or after dinner. Loved the whole experience.

Went to celebrate a birthday. We had a wonderful time. The service was great and the food wonderful. We had the filet mignon and a vegetable fettuccine. Also excellent French onion soup. The prices were very reasonable given what we ordered.

4 of us went for a Sunday brunch and it was meh. We enjoyed the location, easy parking and being in a historical hotel but it went down hill from there.
We thought a drink was included with the meal but it wasn't. I thought there would be a lot of variety of add-ins for my bloody, there wasn't. No shrimp, no cheese, not even a pepperoni. If a skewer was offered to fill, I would have enjoyed it more.
The food was ok, it was the standard hotel continental options. We thought it would be a little more upgraded, we won't go back for brunch but we'll go back for a dinner and see if those meals are worth returning for.
Typically I take pictures but I was so underwhelmed that I didn't.

We had a reservation and were never waited on after being seated. Unfortunately we weren’t the only table to experience this. Very disappointed

My partner and I decided to try out this restaurant after the old restaurant left the hotel, and we were so pleasantly surprised! The prices were super reasonable for the high quality, and very delicious, food. The 12 oz strip for $38 was tender, perfectly seasoned, and incredibly flavorful. The tiramisu for dessert was also the perfect balance of coffee, cream, and sponge cake. The restaurant ambiance was quiet and peaceful, and the service was pleasant and accommodating. The only thing I would’ve liked different is some nice jazz music in the background (but that’s just me being picky). Overall a lovely experience and we will be returning!

Allowed reservations online when they are closed. Called restaurant and answering service had old restaurant name and did not mention being closed.

We were in town visiting and decided to come here for an elevated meal experience. We were hopeful because the price point was so high for the area that it would be decent. I don’t usually leave reviews but I feel compelled to let other people know how bad the food is. We ordered the blackened chicken pasta and it was a horrific sludgy greasy mess. So much grease that you could take spoonfuls of pure grease out of it. It’s appearance was akin to something dogs produce when they aren’t feeling well. It had too much cayenne pepper which made it incredibly spicy. Worst dish I’ve ever had in a “nice” restaurant. The server was lovely and the restaurant is beautiful but avoid the food at all costs

The dude at front desk was wearing a mask and not overly helpful. We had plans to meet at the Draftsman with our happy camper birthday group but we’re told the barkeep was out sick so our dinner reservations were for 5:30 but told you don’t need reservations and that if you do have reservations you will not get confirmation of that. Strange.. anyhoo the inside is extremely beautiful and all the appetizers were exquisite. Grace a newbie was extremely professional and made our evening 5 star.

The food was quite good. The service was subpar. Saturday night with 6 tables didn't seem overwhelming but everything was delayed. 30 minutes to get a cocktail before dinner, and it didn't get better. As a result I wouldn't recommend.
Great dining experience on the square in Mason City. We had the filet and salmon dinners and both were delicious- highly recommend. They have table/booth options in a well lit space with large windows overlooking the square. There is a special chefs table seating option which we look forward to trying in the future. Great date night option for dinner or hanging out at the bar for a cocktail.
