Horrible food! Not like like spic and span tenderloins
This is an amazing place to eat! A must for anyone who knows what it means to eat great food, fresh not frozen!!!
Excellent service. Food was delish!! But the Butterscotch malt was the B E S T!!! I has the pork tenderloin and fries and my buddy had the cheeseburger. By both accounts they were very tasty and this little gem of one of the remaining 20-ish “Valentine Diners” is easy to find just off I-35 in Mason City, IA in the old downtown area. We loved whatever seasoning they put on the thin fries as well. We love small diners like this and we’re not disappointed finding Suzie Q Cafe
The homemade ranch is excellent. Very friendly staff and tasty burgers.
Fabulous Patty Melt! Shared this double beef patty sandwich with tons of cheese and onions with my lovely hubby and it was delicious! Even had leftovers.. the shake and fries we're like from my memories as a kid. Greasy and salty and smooth and creamy. You need to Come here! Totally worth it!
Loins to be like Spic and Span. Hardly. Pounded so thin breading is all you tasted. GI symptoms after eating. Greasy, greasy, greasy. Pool of grease in container. No more for me,ever.Famous should be changed to greasy tenderloins.
Really great service and the butterscotch malt was yummy!
Really not pleased with this place. We are from out of town and was looking for breakfast and want and older mom and pop cafe. We found this place since it said they have breakfast and when we arrived we were told pretty quickly that it is not dine in that we could sit outside in the heat or it to go. Once we ordered we could not even wait to get our food we had to sit outside and they would bring to us. Not to pleased with the service at all. They do not serve breakfast and for what we ordered was pretty good but way over priced. Got milkshakes charged 6.50 and brings out a 12 ounce shake I’m sorry there was nothing special about them. We will never be back.
This was the first time I have eaten there for like 5 years. Even though it's under a new owner it was still good. We had to sit outside to wait for our food but it was worth it.
First time, carry out only for now ,got a BLT and french fries, it was very good and the staff was friendly

Just what I was looking for after a 100+ mile ride during Ragbrai. Burger and fried mushrooms were both delicious.
Nasty tenderloin. Greasiest food I've ever had. My son took two bites of his burger and wouldn't eat any more.
Oh my gosh! This place is what finding hometown gems is all about. I ordered a double cheese burger with cheese curds and a milkshake. Their beef is locally sourced from the butcher and never frozen. They make their own mayo, ranch and even the sauces for their milkshakes. The service was great and the staff was welcoming. This is a place not to be missed if do or don't live in Mason City.
We found this place today and decided to give it a try. We loved the food. I do not know what was best the handmade food or the service. We are going to have to stop here more often on our trips!
The IA Breaded Pork Tenderloin experience was magical. Just onion and mustard. Fries were seasoned with a tasty sprinkle.
