Vegans: Taco Tico has an off-menu vegan burrito called the "Began" - a large jalapeno tortilla stuffed with beans, rice, and pico. There are many vegan options, though none are labeled and staff are not super familiar with vegan options. This is a fast food spot.
Basically, you can order any burrito or taco item without cheese or sour cream and with refried beans instead of meat and it will be vegan. Bean burrito no cheese, tacos no meat sub beans and no cheese, tostadas, etc. I normally order in the drive-thru. Instead of saying "sub beans for beef" which can be hard to understand through drive-thru, I say "no meat, substitute refried beans. No cheese." The best sauce IMO is the green chili - SO good. This place has been a fave since my teen years!
We have been to this service over 40 years and have had the opportunity to see for our selves how time has changed not only this business but how we see others has well. We overall we have seen a degeneration NJof all businesses that we have honored and experienced. Food services in particular have had astronomical changes in cost has well as the negative changes in quality as well. We are less inclined to share our times out without them.

Place has gone downhill a bit. Seems like they're skimping on amount of ingredients. Still tastes great, just not what it once was. They should raise prices and improve quality.
Love to eat here whenever I'm able and love to get a vast majority of foods here. Will definitely go again and recommend to anyone looking for good Mexican food that's fast and affordable.
Our favorite and only go to place in Northern Iowa for tacos and such, we typically order the Sancho which is delicious and reasonably priced, never have had a bad experience here and Highly recommend to anyone that asks where to get delicious tacos and related dishes, Their Taco burger, Enchiladas are also superb
