Was excited to meet family from Minnesota. We are from Des Moines. Celebrating my birthday meal. We were excited because it was a cafe setting that was open 11 to 9. Wanted comfort foods. Going for lunch instead of a steak house type dinner. We all were there around 12:20pm parking lot full. We were excited. Ordered what looked amazing online their bbq chicken. Was even their Saturday special. Server quickly said we don’t serve until 3pm. I seen where online their steak and shrimp was Wednesday at 4pm. So was very disappointed! Then seen they had soup of the day. Nope no soup. Yes, service was good, burgers and sandwiches were good. But we were excited for the food we could not have. Cafe comfort food. Server was nice and checked on us. Wish she would have had a plan B once we said what we were looking for instead of saying we don’t have it and would check back to see what we decide. We were not looking for anything fancy. Just cafe comfort food. Make sure to wear something warm. Air conditioner works great!

I was served undercooked food at this restaurant, which caused me to become sick and throw up in the restroom. The staff was kind, and the owner personally comped my meal after I explained what happened. I left an honest review based on my experience. I even have a recipt as proof the waitress pov of the experience and the people I was dinning with and im also positive other people aswell.
I’m extremely disappointed to now see the owner publicly call my review “FAKE,” despite having directly handled the situation at the time. I expected better integrity from a business. Gaslighting customers for sharing uncomfortable truths is not the right response. And I have even let the local health department know aswell

Decent Food at a decent price, Got the hamburger steak and it was great, atmosphere was nothing special but it's definitely somewhere I plan on eating again.

Katie the bartender/server, really has a gift at welcoming people and making them feel at home, even if you live out of state. The food is as good as other people say. Such good flavor. Best ranch dip and honey mustard. Only downside was that the Ruben was a little short on ingredients compared to other places, but it's got the best flavor compared to anywhere. And ask for the Sizzler. It's a burger not on the menu. Mmm, mmm.

Really delicious dinner of battered, not breaded, pork tenderloin sandwich and house made chips with ranch. My server was very friendly and helpful without being intrusive. It's a bar atmosphere but also family friendly.
