We stopped here for lunch based on the reviews and we are so glad we did! This is NOT one of those places that serves heated up canned or frozen food. You can see the kitchen from the dining area. It's all freshly made. The history of the place is interesting, so read the menu. LOL We would definitely come back when in the area again.

Spent the weekend in McGregor and surrounding area searching for a decent diner for breakfast and on our way out of town, we found it. Pancake tasted wonderful and eggs were perfect. Bacon was also cooked perfect. If you're searching for a legit diner with good coffee and breakfast, look no further.

We showed up at 2pm on a Tues. They close at 2pm, but the sign said Open and they served us a delicious lunch and were very happy to do so. Great place!

My wife and I have done a fall leaf drive every year since 1973. We've noticed this diner on the roadside for many years but it has always been closed when we went by. This year our timing was great and they were open! We stopped and are so glad we did. Diners are a dying breed, just like supper clubs. My wife had a breakfast sandwich, while I had a traditional breakfast - eggs, sausage, hash browns, toast. Everything about it (food, service, price) was excellent! Most places don't get hash browns right - crunchy on the outside and fully cooked on the inside. These were perfect. Going forward we will plan our trips so we can stop at this place every year. WELL DONE!

Our 2 couples stopped for breakfast Saturday morning. Basic bacon, eggs, coffee and hash browns. Our ticket was $75 + change. Unbelievable! Way too expensive! Go eat somewhere that is affordable!!!

Breakfast was good but DON'T ask to substitute a pancake for toast, they say sure, but don't tell you it's an extra $4 charge. Another guest at our table did have toast but it was served burnt, without any appology. Fortunately the guest was ok with charred toast. No complaints otherwise.

We ate there last Wednesday. Waitress was nice, and also funny. We thoroughly enjoyed the food. I ordered a Reuben with no meat. No problem! My husband enjoyed his mushroom and swiss burger. Maggie's fries were so great! But the best part of the meal was the rhubarb/raspberry cream pie. OMG! Delish. We will certainly eat there next time we're in the area. Did I mention that prices were certainly reasonable?
