Went there with my dad around 11:30 a.m. on a Tuesday. We were welcomed right away by a very nice lady with a beautiful smile. The daily special was chipped beef gravy over biscuits, with peas, and pie for $8 (or a 1/2 order for $6.75). We decided to order sandwich platters off the menu. Ate a noon meal. My breaded tenderloin, only $5.75, was good but I would have preferred the cook had taken it out of the fryer 30 seconds earlier. Just a bit overdone for me and what I get at other southeast Iowa establishments. The French fries were good but I've had better. The homemade coleslaw was very good.
