Excellent choice for a quick, light meal! My triple decker club was amazing, and the fries were perfectly cooked. Friendly waitress, very efficient service. Highly recommend.

The place was full when we arrived and we sat at the counter. They were short-handed and were not able to offer shakes, but the staff was very pleasant and friendly. We had burgers with tater tots. Everything was well prepared. This is my new go-to place when in Missouri Valley.

Food was good, decent price. Quaint, small diner with roughly a combo of 12 booths/tables. 3 were open when we got there, they seated us at a clean one, one filled up about 20 min after we came and the other (table) sat dirty for over 30 min (once a group of 4 came in the door and were told, from across the room, we have no room for you). We sat for 20 minutes without even water AFTER the waitress came to the table to explain about the horrors of using the online ordering systemt that corporate thinks is a good idea...but when asked if there were physical menus, no there is not another corporate thing, you have to look online, but just don't order there or your food will end up in Nebraska and she has no control over it! She brought out the drinks and said, "I feel like I am forgetting something" my husband said, there's one more coffee, so which she replied to him "I only have 2 hands!" ...sorry for trying to help! Party of 4 were in there for over an hour and a half, once we got our food we were gone in 15 minutes....I would give 4 stars IF the service would have been remotely decent. I want to give grace and think maybe she was having a bad day, but in all reality no waitress should act like that even on a bad day. Sorry. We won't be back.
Absolutely the worst. After over 1 hour we had not received our food. The server came by, chuckled, saying he forgot to put it in. Bypass this joint especially if you are traveling. It was a complete waist of time. My family and I were traveling and proceeded to purchase trucks top food because everything else was closed after waiting over an hour and half for nothing. Never again.

Slow service and they refused to do ice cream. Said they were busy but were just chilling behind the counter. Would have appreciated just being told no to ice cream instead of waiting 30min to not get ice cream.

I loved the old time vibe. I stumbled upon Penny's when I pulled off the interstate for some lunch. I spotted Penney's and decided to take a break from the fast food chains. I am glad that I did. Penny's is an old-time diner that serves breakfast all day, among other dishes. I had a Ruben Sandwich with a side salad and a cup of cream of Broccoli soup. The Ruben sandwich was excellent - loaded with meat. It took a while to get lunch as this is not fast food. Everything is cooked to order. The service could have been better, as the one person serving as the waitress and cashier seemed overburdened.

3 customers in the place when we ordered, ordered a shake w meal from server Melissa J. Was told would b a few mins for shake. No big deal. Place filled up, food came and reminded Melissa about shake. Was told “You’re too late, the place is full unless u want to wait 20 mins”. I’m to late???? Place didn’t fill up until right before our food arrived. Melissa J. Was loud and rude to other customers as well. Food was good, service was VERY poor.
