“About a one mile walk from the City Park campground. This shop is lovely. Tables, couches, and high tops provide seating to suit everyone. They have a well-stocked library here, too. Huge variety of drinks are available, along with some pastries and burritos. My plain latte was delicious. Highly recommend.”
“Favorite Hangout... back in the 70's! Went to HS in Missouri Valley and had a horribly made fake ID, which was used regularly at Papa Joes. The owner, Dean Dewaele, founded it in the early 70's? Just looked him up and unfortunately he passed away in 2012. Back then, Papa Joe's had live bands when Led Zeppelin, The Who, BTO, Black Sabbath, Chicago, Yes, and many more ruled. Smoke filled stage, lots of long hair, and Levis jean jackets. It was quite the happening place 50 years ago, and I'm happy it's still going strong today.”
“Campo has been a staple in our household since we moved to Mo Valley. Tonight, I wanted to give them a huge shout out for filling my custom order of no oil on my fajitas. It is so nice to know that they will do this for their patrons, and it was so delicious! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!!”
“Amazing choice of delicious Mexican pastries! Very professional and the employees are very generous! Highly recommend this place if you're passing through Missouri Valley!”
“What a friendly staff! Watched a young lady named Annie on her break eating next to us, she noticed the ranch dressing bottles were empty. She left her food, went to the kitchen and brought dressing out for the people in line. Not playing on her phone but paying attention to the customers. Good job Annie??? An employee staff that cares.”
“Love the burrito selection. My guilty pleasure is thier chorizo and egg burrito. It's an absolute mess to eat on the road but well worth the pending indigestion and foreworks!!Hard working staff! I appreciate the fact that each of the locations I have visited featured friendly bilingual staff.”
“True diner look and feel. Waitress was very nice. Food was fantastic. Wife and I both got grilled chicken salad and neither of us finished due to size. Cooked fresh to order. Men's bathroom needs a good cleaning but hey, it's a diner/truck stop style. Haha. Will stop anytime in the area.”
“My pizza is always delicious and I greatly appreciate that. Always 100% fresh cook to just for me and staff is incredibly friendly The place is very clean. Truly couldn't ask for a better experience.”
“Busy place with plenty of workers. We were in and out in 15 minutes. I ordered a Tuna Wrap and my hubbs got a foot long sub. It appears to be a newer Subway, they need to do better keeping the restrooms clean and when we were there a woman asked one of the workers for a mop to clean up a drink her child spilled and the worker just stared at the customer and did nothing. The customer said they would just clean up with their napkins and again the worker did nothing, weird. We’d stop here again, but the gas station near it is so bad I don’t think we ever will take this exit. Too bad.Dietary restrictions: Lots of options for those with restrictions.”
“Very quick service, nice counter help, and the food was good. I ordered the honey chicken, I like more veggies and not fried, but that was my mistake of not reading the menu more thoroughly.”
“Easily the best prepared Jamocha shake I have ever had. Kinda ruins it for me now because it will be difficult to outdo the one we had today. Thanks for a great treat.”
“"ABELARDO'S" **NOT** TACO JOHN'SThis place is awesome!!Amazing food, giant portions that make this place an incredible value (2 lb burrito for $12), super clean inside & out, open during a blizzard, & the men working there were so friendly, kind, & were very attentive and welcoming.”
“BK (imo) has the best burgers. Since we skipped breakfast today, I had a made-to-order Double Whopper with jalapenos and a side of Halfsies (half fries, half onion rings) for lunch. Despite being short-staffed, service was prompt and the order was accurately prepared.”
“Best McDonalds I've ever been too, hands down. The automated ordering menu is excellent and everything was correct when we got our food. Breakfast sandwiches were amazing and the hashbrowns were cooked perfect. The staff was super friendly and helpful also.”
“Highly highly recommend! It's exactly the Sunday morning breakfast everyone needs in their life. Great food, great people, great atmosphere. The owner is very friendly & is really sweet to our kids. Can't wait to come back!”
“Great experience for a tasting. Owner was friendly and knowledgeable. She create a community where customers could interact or have their own space. Another customer was trying craft beer and she seemed knowledgeable about them as well. Great old building.”
“Pizza is out of the world delicious. Plan on calling in order and taking it to go ahead of time with only a 10 minute wait. Seating only in bar. I'm giving them a 6 ⭐ rating”
“Used to live in rural Honey Creek in the early 1970's. It had been around for a while back then too. Looks exactly the same as it did 50+ years ago. After detasseling corn, hoeing beans, or stacking hay, we'd ride our bikes there, hang out, listen to the same awful jukebox music, and buy a coke (this was even before we had fake ID's, otherwise it would have been beers). My brother and I would go there with a kid who lived down the road on the Old Lincoln HWY. He was shot and killed years later in a motorcycle gang fight in Phoenix. To say things have changed for the better in my life would be a serious understatement. I've seen the world many times over and to think it all started with the Areoplane Inn, wow! Dream big kids...”
“We were here for breakfast on a Friday during my son's holiday break. It was pretty slow with only a dozen or so people. Service was fast and did a great job!I had the Western Skillet, which was just fine. It wasn't a standard skillet, but more like an omelet with all the skillet mixed in, such as the hash browns. The cheese on top looked like cheap sliced cheese, and tasted that way too...really need to use a good shredded cheese .My son had the haystack, which was very very good. I would recommend this, as I am normally hesitant to order biscuits and gravy. Typically biscuits are dry and hard, or gravy is not good, but not here...it was all fantastic!Parking: Parking was close and easy!Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly. Nothing to complain about!”
“Awesome wings! Giant and perfectly cooked. Our table tried 6 flavors and the boom boom was best. Dry rub was kind of bland but still solid. Buffalo was mild compared to what I was used to. Burger was disappointing as there was not much to it. Wish I ordered more wings or the broasted chicken.”
“I've been here plenty of times and have never been disappointed. If you are looking for a nice country drive, good food and good drinks, this is the place.”
“Food was amazing and fresh always love going there when I'm up that way visiting family will be sad to see it go to different owners, but hope they can keep it as awesome as it has been my entire life.Thank you for all the many years of great food!”
