“We were here for breakfast on a Friday during my son's holiday break. It was pretty slow with only a dozen or so people. Service was fast and did a great job!I had the Western Skillet, which was just fine. It wasn't a standard skillet, but more like an omelet with all the skillet mixed in, such as the hash browns. The cheese on top looked like cheap sliced cheese, and tasted that way too...really need to use a good shredded cheese .My son had the haystack, which was very very good. I would recommend this, as I am normally hesitant to order biscuits and gravy. Typically biscuits are dry and hard, or gravy is not good, but not here...it was all fantastic!Parking: Parking was close and easy!Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly. Nothing to complain about!”

“Awesome wings! Giant and perfectly cooked. Our table tried 6 flavors and the boom boom was best. Dry rub was kind of bland but still solid. Buffalo was mild compared to what I was used to. Burger was disappointing as there was not much to it. Wish I ordered more wings or the broasted chicken.”
“I can't say enough good things about Martinez Bakery!! The pastries are delicious and the young lady I talked to who was working was super sweet!! (See what I did there?) Seriously!! If you like good donuts and treats, head up to Fort Calhoun and check them out! YOU'LL THANK ME!!”

“Just what Bennington needed! Cute little coffee and ice cream shop. They even have a few local made items for sale inside the shop too. They have a small patio in the back that is awesome in the summer too. One of our favorite spots to stop!”

“This place was cool. The food was good. The atmosphere was Melo, too. I ordered ceviche, and it was okay, but I have had better, but I guess everyone makes it different. Frozen margaritas were tasty, too. Surprisingly, this was my first time going, and I will definitely go again.”

“Best Italian food in Omaha!! My personal favorites are the meatball sub, spinach artichoke dip and the chicken alfredo pizza, but you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. I strictly get take-out, as there is not much room to sit inside. Also, so others don't see me inhale/devour my food! Love this place! The owners, Tony and Dana, are fantastic people, and I love supporting their business.”

“Amazing salsa! Typically, I find the "free" salsa that comes with your "free" chips at similar restaurants to be bland and tasteless. Not at El Vallarta. I found their salsa to be savory and full of flavor. The service at lunch was quick and the entrees were tasty. Great portions! Reasonable prices. I would go there again!!”

“First time visiting for my hubby's birthday. We will be back for sure but won't get the Prime Melt Sandwich. That is the only reason for a 4 star on this review. He said the aujus sauce was over salty. Now for the things you MUST have when going... Chips & Queso and Fried Chicken - AMAZING! The chips for the queso were not store bought but homemade and came out freshly hot and were just out of this world. The fried chicken was hot, fresh, juicy, and just delicious. Our server was crazy busy... running bar, keno, taking orders and taking phone orders, and doing it all with a peppy smile and genuine care for everyone.Highly recommended!”

“Glad to have found this breakfast spot. Housed in a mid century meets diner decor it has a nice mix of counter and booth seating. The wait staff is attentive and efficient at keeping the orders coming while keeping your coffee filled. The food is great - we've been in a couple of times now and everything has been delicious and enough for a sizable take home box. If you enjoy quality food in an authentic locally owned setting, this is something to try.”

“Some of the best customer service I have ever received! That was the highlight of our visit. Even my nine year old asked when we can return because she said the server was so nice and she enjoyed the food. The food was good overall, but the issue I had was the the kids menu. $9 for a main and a drink. $1 extra if you want the cheese pizza to have pepperoni. My daughter got the chicken bites and it was only 4 bites with a bunch of fries. Kids portions just didn't seem to match the price, hence the four stars. The kids did get to pick a small prize from a treasure chest, which was a nice touch, so that may explain the kids menu prices? I'm not sure. Overall, would likely return as they have quite a few enticing choices on the menu!”

“I have purchased doughnuts and rolls from this bakery on several occasions.I am not sure what they do to the doughnuts but the taste is incredible. Well worth the drive from Omaha to Blair.Iv seen some reviews recently that imply this is not the absolute best bakery you will find. There may very well be some places that are almost as good as what Connie makes, but there are none better. And I have traveled and sampled doughnuts from around the country.Credit cards not being accepted, well it’s just the right motivation to always keep cash on hand.”

“Great wings with Jdubbs sauce. Can not go wrong with that sauce combo. It's got a kick but not spicy. My favorite also drink prices are very fair. Check them out anytime there is always a great deal going on at lunch time and dinner time.”

“Well if this isn't a small town bar right off 680 North in Ft. Calhoun. Our family lives near by and we took over the patio for my MIL birthday. It's a dark but inviting bar when you walk in, a long narrow row of tables on one side and your stndard bar on the other. A larger space holds games, and more seating. The claw machine has a particularly strong grip, and I was able to win TWO animals for my kiddos. We had a great service for a party of 15 on the patio. We started with ice cold mini pitchers of beer, and then on to the food. The burger was great, and I loved the chicken thinly sliced on top of our salads. We finished the night with lemon drop shots, and dancing on the spacious patio. George, whoever he maybe, the owner, a regular, a stranger off the street, brought over a cupcake for my MIL and kids cups filled with candy for my two kids. It was a fantastic evening and I know we'll come back.”

“I have been going to Zesto's (in Florence) over 50 years. They had the best chili foot-longs in the 70's and 80's, when they were using O'Briens Brick Chili. Unfortunately, you can't buy or find O'Briens chili anymore. The chili they are using now cannot compare to O'Briens, but they are still good. Overall, they have great food and service.”

“About a one mile walk from the City Park campground. This shop is lovely. Tables, couches, and high tops provide seating to suit everyone. They have a well-stocked library here, too. Huge variety of drinks are available, along with some pastries and burritos. My plain latte was delicious. Highly recommend.”

“We hadn't been here for quite a while. Ordered their daily special. We received the sandwich fairly quickly and it was hot. Great flavor and the price was reasonable as it included a bag of chips and a drink. We will visit again. The only problem was that we didn't know their hours, so got there about a half hour before they close at 2:00. Wish they were open longer.”

“What a Nebraska Tradition! Always hot and fresh and loved by my “picky” kids. The drive thru was busy but also quick and we had our food in no time. Friendly faces and workers were smiling and made sure everything was perfect before we left the line. Can’t wait to enjoy on our next adventure!Kid-friendliness: Great flavors and plenty of options.Parking: Easy to park and eat before getting back on the road.”

“This place is such a gem! Scones are yummy (a tad on the sweet side) and we usually get them. Staff is always wonderful and helpful. Only bummer is there limited hours on the weekends.Strongly recommend! ?Vegetarian options: Have a small menu that can be tailored for vegetarians.Dietary restrictions: Offers a variety of foods. I’d call ahead to see what’s available.Parking: Small lot goes with the small building.Kid-friendliness: It’s more a take out place and they do have things kids would like.Wheelchair accessibility: An outside facility so accessible.”

“The menu has both the staples I'd expect at a Thai restaurant and dishes I'd never tried before. Food came out fast and tasted amazing. I had a four out of ten for spiciness and that was clearly the right call, and spicier would have been too much. Staff were very friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back.”
“Favorite Hangout... back in the 70's! Went to HS in Missouri Valley and had a horribly made fake ID, which was used regularly at Papa Joes. The owner, Dean Dewaele, founded it in the early 70's? Just looked him up and unfortunately he passed away in 2012. Back then, Papa Joe's had live bands when Led Zeppelin, The Who, BTO, Black Sabbath, Chicago, Yes, and many more ruled. Smoke filled stage, lots of long hair, and Levis jean jackets. It was quite the happening place 50 years ago, and I'm happy it's still going strong today.”

“Great experience for a tasting. Owner was friendly and knowledgeable. She create a community where customers could interact or have their own space. Another customer was trying craft beer and she seemed knowledgeable about them as well. Great old building.”
