World class al pastor street tacos. I've been everywhere from Mexico to Arizona, and these hold up and are often better!

I tried to order a chimi and chips for lunch. I read there's a To go fee. I got the total $18. Seemed a little high for a $10 chimi. Maybe $5 for chips and salsa. They said on phone $1.25 to go fee. But the person on the phone didnt understand my questions about what is on the food or how long until it is ready. So took a lot of back and forth rephrasing questions. Made it exceptionally difficult to order food to go. Even at pickup same thing happened.
My total at pickup was $19. Apparently the menu won't say chips and salsa free with your meal. So I paid for double chips. The guy at the register didn't know how to refund that. Oh well. The pickup time took about 20 minutes when they said 10. So take your time picking up around lunch.
I found out they don't give utensils with your to go order....
And my chimichanga tasted like dog food. Worst flavor I've ever had. The beans taste pretty off too. I eat a lot of Mexican food. This is probably the worst I've ever had.
My in-laws are all Mexican so when I say I've had a lot of authentic food.....

There were a few things that I didn't like as well, but not to say someone else won't like it. Chips are pretty crunchy but loved to queso dip. Taco salad was very good. Not too spicy. Shared a small pitcher or Margheritas...maybe a little more than needed, lol.

muy buena comida muy buena atención y te atienden muy rápido si los recomiendo
The staff was friendly but a bit slow. It was not very busy, so that was surprising. As for the food, Mexican foodbis our favorite but unfortunately I would say thisbwas the worst we've ever had. My husband's steak smelled and tasted rotten, kids quesadilla was cold, and the meat in my burrito was so hard, I had to use more force than normal to cut it. We also sat for 20 minutes after we finished, and nobody came back to check on us or give us the check. We ended up going to the register, and they went and got it.

Amazing! Laid back environment.
My favorite place to eat in Monticello because the food is good, the service is quick, and the staff are kind. This is a real Mexican place with real Mexican food - not "inspired".
Vegetarian options: They have a few vegetarian options, but none are vegan or high in protein, so if you're a vegan, Hacienda is tough to recommend.
Dietary restrictions: Say what you need.
Wheelchair accessibility: Roll on in.

La Hacienda is hands down the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. It’s miles ahead of others in the area. Go out of your way to eat here it’s amazing!

The Caldo de Cameron was very good. Could use a side of fresh avocado. The Chili Relleno was also good. Friendly service.
