Iowa’s best BBQ! Talk about a hidden gem… you will not find better bbq in the state of Iowa. If you’re lucky enough to stumble across this place, try the coleslaw (best I’ve had), burnt ends, turkey, and garlic mashed potatoes.

What a wonderfully delicious place hidden back along the river. Ordered from the counter with lots of options. The brisket was very good. My Family also had the burnt ends and pulled pork. Everything was delicious. The cheesy hash browns were especially good. If you happen to be driving along the Mississippi River Road North of Keokuk this is a great stop for wonderful BBQ.

Small hidden BBQ place. Has great food. Decent size area for indoor seating. Nice area outside for sitting, eating and talking.Parking: Small gravel parking lot. Plenty of parking unless extremely busy.Wheelchair accessibility: Gravel parking lot. Has handicap parking area and ramp to the door and outdoor area.
Great food and great live music out on the patio. Went with son's family and the grandkids love being able to play.

It's good barbecue and great size portions too. The meat was smoked to perfection. The choice of sauces was fantastic. Just a great all American bbq place. Oh also the bourbon pecan ice cream was amazing. Love this place

While this place has an overall excellent rating, there is room for improvement. First, the setting and location are out of this world—the perfect out-of-the-way place to find a good Q-shack on the banks of the Mississippi. The building itself is new. on entry, you are at the start of the ordering line. For a first-time visitor, it's a bit confusing and noisy, which makes the process a little more stressful than it needs to be, They still have COVID/sneezeguard up, which interferes with ordering clearly. Lowering them by 6" would improve the process. There is no table service, other than workers covering the room to bus tables, so if you decide on some more drinks, you make your way to the bar and pick them up yourself. The outdoor patio was empty when we arrived on a Wednesday evening, so we opted for inside seating. Probably a mistake, the hard surfaces inside made for a very noisy environment, some redecorating with soft wall coverings would improve the experience. The food was very good, but not great. Visiting on a Wednesday probably put us in a position of only having everything come out of a cooler and be warked for serving. Hopefully, on a busy weekend, some things are coming out of the smoker without the intermediate step of chilling and toughening up. We will definitely return on a weekend with live music,

What an amazing place. The service was amazing, they really care. The food was by far, the best we have ever eaten from the main course to all of the homemade amazing sides!! The location is beautiful!! Well worth the trip, several trips at that!!
