Nice place with a beautiful view. Food is good but nothing overly fancy. Friendly staff. I enjoy having appetizers and cocktails here.

This place is no longer called Kinnick on the River. It changed hands in March 2019 and is now called Montrose Sandbar. We stopped here on a Sunday morning road trip for Bloody Mary's . It's a neat bar with a great atmosphere, friendly bartenders and great place to sit and watch the river go by. We did not eat here but the food they were bringing out looked amazing so we will definitely go back!

We like to eat at Kinnick....I'm very picky about restaurants....but love anything off the Kinnick menu...The bars folks stay at the bar and family folks can enjoy a family meal at tables...friendly place with good food...Taco Tuesdays are great too!

We were the band “Biscuitneck” that played the benefit for kids this past Saturday. From the time we got there to set up, right up until we left.... the staff was amazing. Over exceeded our expectations of venues to play. Very accommodating. Very clean place with great drink prices. Thanks you guys. Jason

Even though I am a Buckeye from Ohio, I felt very welcome in this fun place (although I STILL haven't forgotten how the Hawkeyes dashed our championship dreams last year!

A fantastic bar with easy boat access from the river. Full food menu, drinks & a couple of nights with live bands regularly.

I took my family there for the chicken. Waited 15 minutes for waitress to acknowledge us. My daughter's cheeseburger was undercooked. Batter/coating on the chicken had a bad taste to it. Won't go back.

Very first time here. Had their smoked prime rib special, it was out of this world! Small salad bar, but had all the essentials on it. Live music started around 7:30. Excellent guitarists. Had a lot of fun with friends singing along. Truly surprised at how close we live, but never knew about this gem on the river. Will definitely be back. Bring cash! No credit cards accepted, but there is an ATM inside.

22 people in our group came by boats with no reservations. The staff accommodated us with seating and quickly started drink orders. They let us know the food would take awhile because of our group size and that we wouldn't be served all at once so it wouldnt get cold. Kept us informed and kept checking back. The food was excellent and only one order of fries were forgotten. The two girls were very nice and fast.
