Service was really good, the atmosphere was nice...typical Family Restaurant. The food while not bad, did lack I taste, flavor and seasonings. I ordered the Taco Salad the taco meat was bland, not a lot of cheese, adding chopped tomatoes, chopped onions and jalapenos, would have helped, thank goodness I asked for extra salsa, it helped some Overall good place, I will dine here again.
If you're looking for family style food and have a healthy appetite this is wonderful place. I ended up taking most of my open face hot beef sandy to go because it was just so much food , I had soup and salad bar, ate half hot beef sandy and had to have apple Carmel cheese cake pie.
I was going to eat rest of hot beef but I was traveling and there was a stray dog outside the hotel I stayed at so he scored it.

Since I know the owners, Muscatine Family Restaurant has been a great staple for my enjoyment. They didn't hire people just for their money to work here, they hired caring efficient people. I like the food. No matter if it's a buffet to single serve plates, the cooks really know how to make nice home felt foods. I'm moving to Mt Pleasant soon but rest assured I will be back for more. Hopefully others will try this restaurant.
