Miss Spenser's Special-Teas & Longview Bed and Breakfast

This was my first experience at a B&B and I now believe it has ruined me for any future B&B I might stay at. I had the most wonderful experience! Besides the adorable room that felt like a cozy little cottage, the entire farm was just lovely. Donna prepared the most delicious breakfasts, was always punctual, communicated with me just the right amount to ensure my needs were being met, and was just the loveliest person. I loved that it was on a working farm (not busy, but clearly a working farm), and I felt welcome to walk around and make friends with the horses. I had a truly a wonderful stay and could feel the care that went into every detail. Although I don't often have reason to travel to the heart of Iowa's farm country, if I ever did (again), then I know where I'll be staying!

Everything was amazing! The atmosphere really allows you to step away from the daily rat race and enjoy yourself.

We state with Miss Spencer’s Tearoom. It is a wonderful getaway. There is no WiFi which is great if you are looking to unplug from the outside world. The room we had was comfortable. Donna is an awesome cook and a very kind, wonderful hostess. Over a half hour away from Des Moines which makes it a great weekend destination.

I went here for an afternoon tea and was blown away. The ambience when you walk in is cozy and welcoming. The tea service is done at your individual group’s speed. The family who run the business are so friendly. The tea and food were amazing!! I cannot wait to go back!!

Awesome B & B you must give it a stay!!!

This stay was exceptionally wonderful! Donna went above and beyond to make our visit special. The space was quiet and comfortable. The decor was delightful! I cannot say enough about how delicious and uniquely divine breakfast was. I enjoyed all the different flavors of tea. The bed was fluffy and I slept like a dream. I have traveled quite a bit and put this bed-and-breakfast at the top of my list. I highly recommend this peaceful and charming abode.

Had tea and delicious tea foods. The decor was beautiful and I thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience.

Absolutely loved our stay @ Miss Spenser's of Longview Farms. Donna is such a lovely hostess. Her hospitality is over the top! Loved the B and B. Slept so comfortably there. Donna served us the most delicious and beautiful meals! Loved every bite. I wish we could move "next door." Very thankful for the friendship that was formed during our visit.

I have stayed with Donna twice now, once to celebrate our anniversary and once to celebrate my parents 53rd anniversary. She is an absolute delight of a host. The meals are out of this world delicious and the presentation is top notch. If you are looking for a weekend escape, this is absolutely your place. The working farm, the views, I’d change nothing and I’m trying to find an excuse to go back!

Nearby activities: We did this trip to see the bridges of Madison County. It’s close and the spot is perfect for some other fun activities. Some additional things to do, wineries, an alpaca farm, cidery, cute shopping.

Absolutely wonderful experience, as always!

Beautiful place to relax, enjoy tea and wonderful Miniature sandwiches and sweets. Very welcoming atmosphere and owners.

Absolutely beautiful. The host was extremely pleasant even though we showed up late in the day and left early in the morning. I wish we could have stayed longer. We stayed in the garden view room which had a beautiful little courtyard next to it. The Host made sure to give us a welcome snack tray as well as a breakfast we could take with us on the road! Another great feature of the property was the countryside views! We waved to all of the very spoiled cows on the way out This BNB is also just 3 miles away from Harpors Vinyard which would be an excellent place to stay for wedding guests! Love love loved it!

This B&B was exceptional! We spent 2 nights and got HUGE delicious breakfasts each time. It is slightly out of town but there's plenty of things to do in the room. We had some problems (not to do with the room) and the hosts were so helpful to us. Even though they had family visit she responded to any requests or questions we had right away.

This was the second time we stayed here and Donna's hospitality and attention to detail is exceptional! We stayed in the Room with a View which is huge, but inviting. Upon arriving, we were welcomed with a tray of goodies and wonderful pot of tea! We then spent some of the evening outside and took in the country stillness and nature. The breakfasts are not only delicious, but bountiful! I guarantee you will not leave there hungry! If you are looking for a wonderful, relaxing getaway, this is the place!

Longview Farms B&B -- NEVER DISAPPOINTS! Outstanding hospitality, scrumptious breakfasts and wonderful views make this B&B a perfect getaway. Already looking forward to planning our next stay!!
