Copper Boar American Pub

I booked the party room for a party of 22 for my brother's graduation. The initial manager I spoke to (I think Amanda?) was amazing, helpful! Another manager greeted us when we arrived (I didn't catch his name) super friendly and welcoming! We had a lot of kids in our party, our waitress, Emerson, was AMAZING! The food and drinks were fantastic!!!! Would highly recommend!!!

Just a random pick off of the internet while traveling. Every item my wife and I had was far beyond expectation! She had the Ribeye dip sandwich and fries, I had the Nashville hot fish and chips.. both absolutely amazing! Even the fries were amazing with some kind of dill seasoning. Definitely saved for if we ever pass through this way again. Service was great and quite reasonable as well. 10 outta 10 would recommend!

Truly a "hidden gem" in North Liberty. Delightful menu choices! My lunch: Moscow Mule, Turkey Bacon (Jam) sandwich & Roasted Vegetables (potatoes, squash, tomatoes, and green beans). Delicious flavors! Excellent, attentive service. Definitely will be back!

Kellie P. was absolutely horrible. We waited forever to order our food. When getting our food it was lent very warm. We also didn’t even get drink refills on our drinks until we were getting our checks. It was just absolutely horrible. We will never go back.

Overall the food was good. You get nice sized portions here so we left full. We had their brunch and it was good, but not over the top. The best thing we had were the loaded fries with pork belly. Those were delicious and highly recommend. The stuffed French toast was good, but had way too much filling and more so fell apart while trying to cut into it. The breakfast potatoes are just okay. I love the atmosphere and our service was good. I will be back to try more of their non-brunch food. I also noticed they have a set three course meal option on certain days and would be interested to try that as well.

We were in Iowa City at the Dental Clinic & one of the instructors suggested Copper Boar. It was a snowy drive but we went anyway. We were very pleased with the food & our server McKenna. It’s a bit of a drive from DeWitt but we will be back. 😊👍

Went without a reservation and the host acted like it was a huge inconvenience. Service from our waitress was good. I ordered the chicken strips that smelled like fish but surprisingly didn’t taste like it. The breading was a bit much and very rich. My daughter ordered spaghetti but the noodles were very thick and under cooked. I ordered a lemon drop martini but it tasted like bad water. The cost of the meals seemed high. 18 dollars for chicken Strips is crazy. We won’t be going back

Sound system for event in other room at opposite end of Pub extremely loud making it difficult to converse across table.

I like the vibe of Copper Boar. Honestly, the food has never blown me away for brunch, lunch, or dinner. It's good, but I always say "I wouldn't get it again".
The dill pickle french fries are good if I had to pick a favorite item!
