A staple in the Iowa City arena for years, I became a patron as a college student decades ago and now bring my kid 20 years later. Great food and coffee. Friendly environment.....plenty of offerings for the coffee connoisseur to the 5 year old boba tea aficionado!!

I by mistake ordered my drink on the app for pickup at the store in north liberty when I wanted the one in Iowa city. I go there just about every morning before work. I called and asked them to cancel it and refund me but I was told they aren’t allowed to refund me and didn’t offer a credit for a drink. All I got was a be careful when picking your location next time. I’ve never heard of that anywhere. I emailed the customer experience email and received a very dry response back from their “president”. She refunded me but, no apology for the way that situation was extremely mishandled. No wonder the staff lacks good customer service with Tara Cronbaugh as their president . It was disappointing to say the least. I really like the staff at the Iowa city location but it’s not worth spending my money there just about every day if my business isn’t valued or appreciated.

Was craving a breakfast sandwich around noon and came through the drive through on a whim. There were SO MANY OPTIONS! The bacon/rgg/cheese/hashbrown on croissant was huge and SO good. The iced coffee I got was awesome. The muffin and Cinnamon roll were both huge and amazing. The service was incredible. She answered all of my questions and gave suggestions. I appreciated her patience as I read through the massive menu. I'm from CR but I will be regularly driving out of my way to visit again.

The breakfast sandwiches are wonderful. I recommend the morning muscle melt with bacon and turkey sausage. So good! I live in another state and stop here whenever I’m in town. The crew working on 7/7 at 10am was incredible, best service I’ve had so far and I’ve been coming here for years. They were welcoming, attentive, kind and skilled. Worth the stop.

Great Java House location. The coffee never disappoints, and I feel at home in the light, happy, and fun atmosphere that the baristas create.

Drip coffee is on point. Sandwiches and salads are darn good as well!

The Iowa Cobb Salad is amazing! I add chicken and order the medium size - always have some left over. It’s a little pricey, but good, fresh, healthy food often is.

Absolutely love the breakfast sandwiches!! So fresh and delicious! Every time I am in town visiting family I find myself stopping here. Their coffee is amazing too, but their food definitely makes them stand out for a coffee shop. The drive thru line never takes long either.

decent selections of food and beverages. i tried their iced green tea and turkey avocado sandwich. tea was good but it didn’t really taste like green tea. sandwich was also decent. staff was friendly and it had nice ambient. i would return again to try more things.

Java Houses are some of the best coffee houses in town. Tea is looseleaf and high quality. Food is sneaky good for a coffee house too. Love the sandwiches.
