I had the Average Joe pizza and it was delicious. The pizzas are plate size with 6 pieces. Half of it was filling.

My wife and I went there for a early dinner, was quite surprised that it was so good. Cold beer, good service and the food was very good too.

My wife and I stopped in on a Friday....that was my birthday in early February. We had spoken to the owner earlier on over the phone and he was super nice. He apologized for not being able to be there when we were coming in and assured us that his wife Deb would take good care of us. We had Chrystal as a server and she was very attentive. Deb and her spent alot of time giving us personal attention and the pizza was wonderful! My beautiful wife and I love brick oven pizza and Pyra did not disappoint! 😊 We like Franka in the metro....but Pyra is far above as far as quality and also customer service with a personal touch. ❤️ Chrystal and I realized we knew some people in common and it was great conversation. We both had pizza and shared a salad. My wife had a couple glasses of wine and I had a beer. We were never left to wait for anything at all. When we were finished...she brought us some chocolate and ice cream for my birthday that was a perfect touch. Chocolate after great food always wins my wife over. Thanks for helping me in the romance dept that night ladies! 😉🤣 A funny highlight was when the restaurant funny man came from the back and sang happy birthday to me. He was hilarious. It was getting close to the end of the night...and when we paid and were on our way out we chatted with Deb for awhile. We realized that the owners wife had ALOT of the same views and opinions as we do. You add all these positives up....and it makes for a very enjoyable visit. Thanks Pyra for the wonderful evening. We will for sure be seeing you soon with our kids in tow this time. Pleasure doing business with you. 🥰

Ordered Average Joe pizza and Italian Grinder, pizza was cold, burnt on one side and crust was “soggy” tasted awful . As for the Grinder the bun had one burn spot on the side, bread was soggy, had a thin layer of sausage on that I could hardly taste and when I got done trying to eat what I could I ended up going to the bathroom and threw everything up, including my breakfast I made at 8:30 this morning. Was enjoying the day with my fiancée until it came to our dinner, which was her choice because after all it was her birthday, but it was ruined thanks to our so called dinner
Definitely Will Not Darken Their Door Step AGAIN

Took an hour for our pizza to be brought to our table. Half hour after ordering I had to wave down our waitress to ask about it, she came back a few minutes later and said they will get started on it.

Less than half hour after leaving I became violently ill, having to stop along the roadside to purge. Never again.

The pizza was good. But the crust was heavy and dense. Very chewy.
It should be light and airy. The service was excellent. There is no atmosphere to speak of, it's just lots of tables in a big room.
$15 for a pizza Margherita is too much.
Maybe you should get a smaller place so you don't have to spend as much on rent?
Then you could sell your pizza for a little less. And you would probably get more customers.

If youʼre looking for artisan pizza, youʼll find it here. We had the team at Pyra Pizzeria cater our chamber happy hour at Iowa Distilling and it was so delicious. Steve and the whole team love their community and it really shows through their incredible service and delicious pizza. Youʼll feel welcomed the moment you walk through the doors.
