“Our favorite local Chinese pickup place. The crab Rangoon is the best!! We also like broccoli beef and generals chicken. We've had multiple things over the years and never been disappointed. Great for takeout!”
“This place is very close to Red Rosa pizza and that says allot as Red Rossa was the best Neapolitan pizza in the area (Red Rosa is now Franka pizzeria and not nearly as good). Friendly staff but they only serve 12" pizzas so if your getting pizza to go this means you are getting numerous 12" pizzas (Red Rosa had 2 for Tuesdays). Worth the trip to Norwalk to try this place.”
“I go here several times a month. My food is always good and the service excellent. Never a bad meal so far after a year of lunches. One of the better places to eat in Norwalk!”
“We just had the nicest experience at Mahalos. I had asked the barista about a lower caffeine drink. She was so helpful!!! Our food and drinks were lovely! Thanks so much!Kid-friendliness: The barista was super kind to my daughter”
“If you're looking for a reasonably priced meal for your family this is the spot. Friendly staff, excellent specials. The egg rolls are a must. The pizza is served with generous toppings and great crust. This unassuming family owned business really something delightful.Vegetarian options: Small salad bar. Lots of great salads ?. Plenty of veggie toppings for their pizzas.Parking: The parking is a shared lot with a strip mall and grocery store. Always spaces.Kid-friendliness: It's a family restaurant. They have boosters and high chairs. Sturdy chairs and tables. No high tops.”
“The employees here are AMAZING! I come here multiple times a week and everyone I've interacted with is so friendly. My order is always ready quickly and it's always accurate.”
“Home cooking. One of the few left. Real plates and silverware. The daily specials are actually special. Old home town cafe feel for those of us that can remember what that was like. I drive half an hour out of my way to go.”
“I frequent jimmy johns .I've been to several in des Moines but the location in Norwalk iowa is hands down has the nicest employees every time and their sandwiches are the ”
“5 stars across the board. I've had the pleasure of living down the street for a year now and grown to love this place. The food is great and the staff have become my friends. I've seen them give the same amazing personalized service to everyone around.”
“Group of 7 for lunch...server was very attentive to beverage refills (always a big deal to me) and we couldn't believe how quick the food came out! Good sized portions, reasonably priced and everyone enjoyed their meals. ???Nice job 1908 Draught House!”
“Akways fast and professional. Great place for a quick bite. Would be a great olace to grab some food on the way out of town if you had a long trip ahead and didn't want to sit around.”
“The store was very clean and the worker helping me did great. I got one sandwich and for everything I was unsure about he gave me advice of some sort. I was unsure about cheese however since my sandwich normally comes with double cheese he posed the idea of using both kinds, and when I was unsure about sauce he let me try them in little cups. I felt bad about going in close to when the locked down but he had a very positive attitude and seemed happy that he could help me.”
“I tried the new bacon ranch cheese steak and it wasn't nearly as good as the classic. The bacon was really crunchy hard and dry which was not good and there was far too much ranch. The bun and meat were delicious.”
“It's McDonald's so you already have certain expectations when you pull through the drive-thru. I only go here for breakfast but it's always spot on and the employees are always super nice. Wait time is limited if they have to make it new. I just wish the prices weren't so high now! Bring back the 2 for $5 breakfast sandwich!”
“Food was absolutely delicious! I got the Chicken Curry at mild heat and my fiancé got the Tikki Masala, mild heat as well! We both LOVED our dishes! Tased very good and authentic! Wait staff was very kind! They also do a good job wiping things down, being sanitary, wearing gloves, and then instead of reusable cups, they give you a water bottle! Would highly recommend and we cannot wait to go back!”
“Nice happy hour, gorgeous aesthetic, welcoming and comfy atmosphere, very friendly and attentive staff. Loved it! (And the bathrooms are super cute and super clean!)Parking: Street parking on Ingersoll is hit or miss on availability, but side streets and small free lots are also available nearby.”
“Might be one of my new favorites in Des Moines! The burger I had was called “The Ron”. I definitely will be going back! The fries were also delicious and well seasoned. Thank you!”
“The staff is always so sweet and their ENTIRE menu is amazing!! Inside the shop is cozy and when we're in a hurry I love that we can use the drive thru. Seriously worth any drive across town to try Mayalu!”
“Bang for your buck, you can’t beat Tacos Degollado, just east of 19th n University in Des Moines. This place wins HANDS DOWN in my opinion. Always have gotten the “special” part of the order right for everyone I have brought there. No onions never had onions, no cilantro always without cilantro. You cannot beat this for the quality, quantity and price. In DSM, as far as our street food goes, it’s the best in its category. You won’t be disappointed. Mucho Gisto!”
“Everything from quality ingredients, amazing flavor combinations, presentation to staff is always on point. Can not wait for the chefs to return from Thailand in March to savor new creations.”
“The chicken over rice platter did not have that “New York halal cart” taste that Des Moines desperately needs. But was decent. Portion sizes were about average for the $14 pricing. My wife had a gyro wrap that she said was “ok” which ran around $11.Still getting 4 stars as I will reccomend it over the Mo’s restaurant that is nearby on 60th and Ashworth (that place is a ripoff on portion sizes/price) but the bar is low for halal options in the area.”
“Super cute place plus the latte art was perfect! We had the matcha latte and the hot chocolate. Both were great! Hope to try the crepes next time. Wish they had more seating but it already was a smaller ”
“Best experience. So unassuming, packed with flavor and heat! Excellent food and service! Atmosphere was great and welcoming. I will probably eat here again before leaving Des Moines!”
“I had been eyeing this place for a while & was so excited to try it out. We were met with a nice atmosphere, quick service & delicious food + beer! The food was delivered ridiculously fast & we enjoyed the 5oz beer option as we were able to try more of what Lua has to offer.”
“The only place to get kosher meat in Iowa. It's an important touch stone for midwest jewish culture. And if he's not too busy, you can spend time talking to rabbi, Jacobson. He and his family are a delight.”
“I highly recommend Black Cat Ice Cream! They have a lot of unique homemade ice cream flavors that are creative and seasonably appropriate. It’s a fun experience with the ice cream options and the atmosphere in the shop and outdoor seating options. I’ve tried their scoops of ice cream, and the ice cream nuggets dipped in fudge. It doesn’t matter what I get, so far I’ve been happy with my selections each time. If you love ice cream and are looking for something fun and unique, this is the place for you!”
“Great place! Hearty food, well done, plenty of it! Best hash browns ever had. Mine were loaded (Swiss and American, onions, peppers, jalapeños, mushrooms). Also came with ham, two eggs and two biscuits and gravy. Service with a smile!”
“Very good and unique sweet treat. The quality is top notch and I've never had an issue with how fresh they are. We've been there many many times and will continue to come back.”
“This place is so good!! Has many unique and delicious drink options. I got the Mexican chai latte with a shot of espresso and it was so good! Definitely coming back for matcha and other specialties. Parking is a little tricky, but does have free street parking. Also limited seating. Looks like a bright enjoyable environment to work in if your lucky enough to get a seat. All seating was full at 9 am on a Saturday when I arrived, so plan accordingly.”
“Our family loves coming to Wendy's for a sweet treat, especially on hot summer evenings. There was an extremely rude customer at the front of the line when I showed up just the other night, and the staff handled it very professionally.”
