I’m also impressed by their seasonal offerings—there is some creativity when putting those menu items together, and it’s not your typical chain coffee shop basic menu. I love it!”

“love the atmosphere and service BUT I used to get the yogurt Parfe w granola,blueberries, strawberries at least 3 times a week for breakfast or lunch and they changed the recipe and are using strawberry sugary thick compote instead of just yummy strawberries . now I won't get it. wish they would bring back original recipe.. the chocolate mint pie is the best, love the chicken pot pie, smoothies, chocolate malts.”

“I guess my review is going to upset some. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS LOCATION. I am from out of state, so I have only been here twice. The first time was a few months ago, and then again today. Both times I was served by “the older lady” (as some call her). She is an absolute sweetheart, and reminds me of my own mother. She is always polite and always smiling. Now, don’t get me wrong, I was raised to RESPECT my elders. I speak to her as I would my own mother with “yes ma’am, no ma’am, please and thank you ma’am”. She, as with all humans, is very receptive to kind words and a calm, respectful attitude. I know that she is a perfectionist by her attention to detail, and checking everything twice… which I appreciate. People need to understand that people with anxiety and perfectionism can “seem” rude in their ways, but it isn’t the case at all. Please give her a break because she is out here killing it in the food industry. I admire her for living her best life. Thank you Subway lady for your impeccable and upbeat service. Me and my puppy appreciate you.”

“We just catered Cinnaholic for our wedding in August and LOVED them. We had the mini cinnamon rolls & cookie dough for our desserts. Shane sat down with us to go over our options and have a taste testing as well. The options were endless and the set up crew did amazing as well. Would highly recommend Cinnaholic for desserts for any event you may have in the future.”

“I've only been twice, had the peanut butter burger each time. The food is impeccable, I didn't think I'd like peanut butter on my burger, but now I almost crave it. It can get really really loud as it is pretty much a wide open space with open ceiling and tile floors, and nothing to absorb or deflect sound, and combine that with imbibing some of the best Iowa beers, well the volume can get distracting. Other than that, it is a great place to enjoy some craft beer made here in Iowa.”

“Me and my daughter went here this weekend, and overall it was great! This is my 11 year old daughter’s review. The inside was super cool, and my daughter really enjoyed the gingerbread house’s. Also, the inside swings as a chairs were a very smart idea. The food was pretty good as well. My daughter and I normally go to Starbucks to get cake pops, and the ones we got here were so much better! The taste was better, it was slightly cheaper, and way bigger than Starbucks. The only problem I had with it is it crumbled apart really easily. The edible cookie dough was amazing, despite the small amount they gave you. It was still pretty decent though. The variety of cupcakes they have is amazing too. And we also got the “Muddy Buddy” cupcake, 8/10! Amazing! The service was great as well. There is so many kind things I could say about this place, but I don’t wanna keep repeating myself. Keep up the good work!”

“I have eaten here too many times to count--at least 80-100 times over the past 15 years! Best cheeseburger and fries (ask them to make the fries extra crispy!!)! Their bacon wrapped tator tots and their humongous tenderloins are something you shouldn't miss either. For that matter, everything is good! Beer is cold! And the place is clean! Don't just drive by! Stop in and have a bite to eat!”

“We came in with our family for the first time yesterday as we moved to Indianola only a couple months ago. The hamburger I had was one of the best I’ve had. Originally from the Des Moines area suburbs, the cheap prices were a shocker. I’ve had $10 hamburgers that didn’t taste half as good as the one I paid half that price for here yesterday. And the peach pie was delicious. You have to have it a la mode as the ice cream just brought out the flavor of the peaches that much more. Our kids wanted gum balls and we didn’t have cash on us but the person that served us and rung us up took two quarters out of the drawer and gave them to our kids. She said if the gum-balls fall on the floor they are hers! Needless to say they didn’t fall on the floor. The machine even jammed up the first time when one of our kids put his quarter in and she gave us another quarter. People are not nearly this nice where we come from because everybody is in such a big hurry. It’s great to see this. We will be back for sure. We definitely appreciate service like this.”

“This was a nice, chill retro bar in the downtown area of Des Moines. The service was awesome. Our waitress was quite attentive. They have a large assortment of craft cocktails. Companions had weisswurst and German potato salad and a beef remoulade (?) With warm beet salad. That was the hit of the night! So much flavor. Service was top tier! My only complaint was the music was so loud, it was hard to have a conversation.”
