The food in this restaurant is outstanding. When I drive up from Kansas City to visit my family I always drop by and enjoy some of their delicious food. The service is friendly and makes you feel at home. The restaurant itself is spotless , clean and organized. Makes you feel comfortable. Do yourself a favor and try one of the best Chinese restaurants in this part of the country.

Everything was okay until our server/owner demanded a tip when I went to pay my bill. I was just about to put a tip on the table, and she demanded I put the tip on the receipt or on the table. Sorry, but no tip for you.

This is a restaurant that has been here for quite some time. I enjoy their hot tea and Chinese food very much. It’s always nice to see a familiar face when you go out to eat. It’s a family owned restaurant and everyone is friendly.

Great folk's at First Garden in Oelwein. Great tasting food. Awesome lunch specials!!!
Waitress was very rude. Went to pay and card machine was not working, had no sign to let anyone know. I know these things happen so no big deal I will pay with cash, the waitress then gets mad at me because I do not have enough CASH to leave her more than a $1.78 tip. I would have left to go to the ATM to get her a tip if she would have been so rude to me about getting a tip. I have never had a waitress ask for a tip. She also go into an agreement with the guy next to us because she did not want to take back his foot that she had written it down wrong. I will never go back!

They have the BEST seasame beef and combination fried rice. The family is super nice and welcoming! Will always be returning customer!!❤️
We tried this place out for the first time tonight, and it was pretty good. The main courses were very good, but the hot and sour soup was lacking in flavor and anything but egg ribbons.The woman who took our order was very nice and recommended different items to us.Service was very fast, and the take-out order only took around 5 minutes or so.The inside of the building seemed very clean, and the decorations were tasteful.I hope to come back again to try some new things!
