I'm in Iowa to visit a friend and this is the best Mexican food I have ever eaten. I'm from Las Vegas where Mexican food is on nearly every corner. None of it compares to Potros Garcia. Try the Enchiladas Rachera. The shredded pork on the top of the enchiladas is AMAZING and the sauce is phenominal. I plan on coming here again before going home and I'm going to get just that pork and a pile of tortillas.

You will experience Mexican music, Atmosphere was excellent decor. Loved the horse curtains,sambos all of it. It wasn't busy when my hubby and I went that our server was telling us another Mexican restaurant down the road was good also. The strawberry margarita is excellent too. We will definitely be back

While travelling for business we stayed across the street at the Best Western and decided to try this restaurant. It is wonderful! Do not hesitate to try it out! We’ve been coming to Ottumwa for several years and have tried other Mexican restaurants. This one tops them all!!

Ok, look, this is an amazing place...simply the best mex food I've had in the Midwest. Affordable, delicious, friendly folk and great atmosphere. I had the Chile Verdes (pork chunks in a green chili sauce, rice and beans, etc. Just shut up and GO there.
