Just absolutely amazing! I am in love with the renovation that have been done to this building. The owners. Just amazing people. The food? Hands down best in town! The staff?! Please. Best staff around they make you feel like family. Forever blessed to have this place in ottumwa. You want somewhere to go that is kid friendly (until 10pm) has games and rocks for kiddos to play in! My autistic son would b in heaven! (Autism has many colors so i speak for my situation and my sons Autism) has just such unique fun food that is delicious. And such a great family like staff?! Sign me up! The upcoming events I can not wait for! I'm not a beer drinker but the in house mixed cocktails. Chefs kiss!!! Some beers I even tried that I didn't mind cause they weren't overly beer flavored!! Self serving beer wall is just amazing yall so many options! Hats off to the owners and all their hard work! Best spot in town!

The atmosphere is amazing and the food is delicious!! My husband loves the beer wall, I just had a baby so I haven’t tried it yet, but I can’t wait to! This is a great addition to Ottumwa!

Worst first impression! Initial greeting and explanation of how the service worked was great, we played the simulator ,however every beer we tried was full of foam, we were repeatedly told not charged for the foam , but after trying several other beer brands we were told we didn’t know how to pour , to tip cups more . We knew how to do that and then the manager Heather was called and she kept telling us the kegs were low, almost out so we would have to drink the ciders, we didn’t want those and was told it was late in day and best times to visit are during week or earlier! As walking away all employees started making comments, we sincerely want this business to thrive! Our community needs places like this, I believe had the manager not been rude we would have understood more, we know there are hiccups when first opening,however I hope the customer service improves or it will be another casualty of downtown! We went a few blocks down and had awesome service and meal!
* I was really looking forward to the Rangoon flatbread too!

Had a great lunch with a yummy beverage. I love that I could pour a taste before committing to a beverage. Hot Honey flatbreat was delicious. Great service from Heather and staff.

Service at The Garrison Rock was wonderful! The innovative way they serve drinks through a self-service tap encourages guests to try new things without committing to an entire glass. The drinks on tap were varied and delicious and include everything from Iowa’s favorite—Busch Light— to sours, ales, and homemade mules and margaritas! We loved our time here and will be back.

Garrison Rock has an amazing atmosphere! Order the flatbread for sure, the Margarita and Crag Rangoon are cooked to perfection! Don't forget to enjoy the self serve wall for a delightful drink!

Great place to relax with friends, good food, tasty drinks!

Absolutely fantastic! We recently visited this gem of a new establishment and were blown away by the experience. The self-pour beer wall is a game-changer, offering an impressive variety of craft beers and mixed drinks that you can sample and pour at your own pace. It's a Happy Hour lover’s dream come true.

The food is simply delicious – we tried a variety of flatbreads, nachos, apps, and desserts. A place with specialty drinks and entertainment like this could easily sleep on the food aspect, but they definitely didn’t. Even my picky three year old was raving about the BBQ nachos.

What truly sets this place apart from anywhere I’ve been is the rifle simulator entertainment. It's such a unique and fun addition that can keep you entertained for hours. The simulators with their different game options are a blast for both seasoned hunters & beginners.

The outdoor seating area is another highlight, offering a well-designed space that's perfect for enjoying your meal & drinks in the fresh air. It's spacious, comfortable, and adds a wonderful ambiance to the dining experience. They have cornhole boards stationed out there, as well.

Despite all these amazing features, Garrison Rock remains incredibly kid-friendly. The staff are welcoming and attentive, ensuring that families feel right at home. There's something for everyone here, making it the perfect spot for a family outing, date night, or just a fun time with friends.

Highly recommend this place – we can't wait to go back!

Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome and families encouraged, from what we could tell! Lots of fenced-in space outside for kiddos to run around and play, as well.
