Went there after touring Job Corp and this Happy Joe's was as impressive as every other Happy Joe's I have visited. The staff treated each guest like they were the missing family member and I haven't felt that respected and at home in a long time.

I would give zero starts if possible. Brought a group of kids here after church and found a roach on one of the “clean” buffet plates. I brought it to the attention to the serve and all she said was gross and took the plate and walked away. No acknowledgement past that.

Just stopped in for a quick bite and Payton helped us. Amazing service and amazing food! Asked Payton to accidentally leave my pizza in for an extra minute and it was cooked to PERFECTION. Service in most places have gone down hill but not here! Payton was super friendly and helpful! Thank you!! Definitely coming back!

Visited for dinner on day 5 of Ragbrai 2024.
I asked about their vegetarian options, and they said they'd make a pizza for me.

It ended up really good, but unexpected, because one of their veggie toppings is sauerkraut.

It wasn't bad, just unusual.

Very friendly staff to, they took very good care of their guests considering how busy it got since Ragbrai was in town that evening.

Vegetarian options: They'll make a vegetarian pizza for you if you ask, but be sure to ask about the toppings lol. Sauerkraut is one of them.

Usually the service and quality is good. This time however, it took 2 hours to get delivered, the food had been sitting for a while, and when asked why it took 2 hours the delivery driver argued it hadn't been that long.

The 2 men in the group both ?disliked it & gave me an upset stomach. And we all eat other spicy stuff.
