I want to give a huge shout out to the very nice gentleman that was handing out the free ice water today around noon. He heard me tell my toddlers that their favorite car cart wasn't available so we would have to use a normal cart. He told me to hold on just a second and went out into the parking lot and specifically found it for us and cleaned it down! I wish I had remembered to get his name. His actions made 2 little girls day!

It takes a lot for me to give a bad rating somewhere. I stopped going to fareway because hyvee has always had more options and usually price match fareway. The meat counter guys at hyvee are always great as well. One quarm I've always had is that the baggers always stick unsanitary meat in the same bag with other stuff like drinks. Meat should always be bagged separately as it is unsanitary not to. There are 2 or 3 people that always bag separately and kudos to them. Today one of the managers stuck the bag of chicken in the same bag with stuff I can't rinse off. Essentially I have to throw away. I also tried to price match soda like I always do with no issues. We had issues finding a date so the lady wouldn't price match even with the manager right there. I really only price match because fareway always has deals and hyvee tends to not have them. It looks like I'll be taking my business back to fareway. In light I would just like to hope that people here start bagging meat separately as most of the meat has germs on the outside of the bag. Please.

Worst shopping experience ever. Both in store and online. Unprofessional and childish. They can never get my online order right. Either it's the wrong item or don't get it at all and have to call and wait for them to bring it. After a year of ordering online my deliveries were very seldom on time most times 30 minutes to an hour late. Any time I have gone into the store the employees are rude. Today was my last time ordering from this store. I will take my money else where.

Friendly, helpful staff,most add items in stalk .meat department nicely stalked butchers always ready to lend advice. Liquor department best in town if you can't find it there its not sold in Ottumwa. South by vee is best in town by far!

I brought my check in a week ago and had no problem cashing it. I bring it in today and I can't just because I dont have an iowa id! This needs to be changed. I worked at a hyvee and we never had this rule?

The staff at Hy-Vee is always friendly and kind. I live in Minneapolis and every time I am in Hy-Vee I have had interactions with Jim Cain and he is always smiling and hard working! We need more people like him in businesses!

High-end looking beautiful grocery store with very competitive prices. They are the only ones in the area that have everything that other markets do not. Very helpful and pleasant staff as well. I stop here every time I go through Alexandria now.
