My husband and I stayed in Ottawa to go to a comedian and we love to have drinks and food at Mexican restaurants. I was reading some of the reviews and someone put that they would rather go 30 minutes to another town and I just have to say this was right down the street from our hotel and it was one of the best Mexican restaurants I’ve ever been to and we’ve been to quite a few. We live in the Des Moines area, so wish we could be back sooner than later, but we had an absolute amazing experience. Our waiter was on point and everything was delicious. 10/10

We’ve been coming to this restaurant for over 10 years, and in the last year they’ve truly taken things to the next level. The service is fast, friendly, and attentive, and the food is consistently great. Marco is our favorite server he really cares about the quality of your experience at the restaurant. And let’s be honest… their to-go margaritas are impossible to pass up! This place has become our go-to for both dine-in and takeout. Highly recommend!
Upon arrival we were sat in a crammed space too close to the windows. The waiter took a while to get around to our orders while other tables were getting their orders placed. We saw our waiter running food to other tables across the restaurant while we waiting for him to take our order. After I received the WRONG order, my mother and I asked him to remake it because I did not want queso on my food. He asks if I saw that my order had listed it came with queso ontop. I told him no it was not listed, can you fix it? He says yes and as about 20 minutes goes by, he comes back without my food. AND shows me the menu and points to where it had queso. Yes I was wrong- does not excuse him for BRINGING THE MENU TO PROVE HIS POINT. That is just rude, uncalled for and just inappropriate for a server. Truly so pathetic he had to prove to me he was in the right. My family had finished their food while mine came out barely warm. This dude deserved no tip and as for my family’s bad experience. We won’t be coming back next time they’re in town. Btw he never brought out the check. We had to go ask someone at the check out counter for our bill. Come to find out he was about to charge us for the SECOND plate of my food. A complete duplicate! This time listed (no queso) I think that was infuriating enough we won’t be coming back.

I was here today Saturday the 14th. Arrived and was seated. It wasn’t that busy. We were here to celebrate my brothers going away for the military. Just 4 people. We were waiting for over 10 minutes and nobody asked us what we wanted to drink or give us chips and salsa. Another party arrived way after us and was served immediately. We ended up leaving because we kept getting ignored by staff. This is not okay and please do better!
