Everything was fantastic. I ordered the sauteed calamari and steak flatbread. Denisha was my server and she was very attentive and friendly. The manager came to my table when I was finished to make sure I was satisfied. I would highly recommend Wissota to anyone looking for great food and great service.

Phenomenal experience. From the greeting and friendly atmosphere to the exquisite food quality. I started with the charcuterie board and it only went uphill from there. Absolutely gorgeous weather played a factor on an October autumn eve, but they had an exceptional outdoor seating in which to host me in a fire warmed environment only matched by the lobster bisque soup I had. I couldn’t find even one issue to complain about and found myself smiling with reckless abandon due to such delicious pairings. I went with a flight of all Octoberfest marzen beers only to be informed one was not on the menu. Much to my surprise I was greeted shortly by not only the substitute pour but also the original request. I was actually still available and the server was beyond gracious enough to add to my evenings list of unforgettable experiences. I tried three sample provided to me as suggestions from the staff and I was not disappointed. My favorite was the Red Zeppelin. I ended the evening with a pumpkin crème brûlée and it ended lifting me straight to the spot I didn’t even know I needed to be at. All in all I would and will make it back to this establishment and it’s my hope they are going to be serving the area with food and festive welcoming offering of all shapes and sizes. Keep it up and I cannot wait to bring back some friend and loved ones to enjoy in the dedication and life that exudes from each dish.

Amazing food, great local beer selection, filet is super tender, Bar manager Michele and waitress Mariah were awesome
Service was fabulous, drinks were very good, entrees were a little disappointing (filet and ny strip). Sides were great (garlic mashed and bacon mac/cheese). To clarify, the steaks were done as requested, decent cuts of meat, disappointing in flavor. Management was accommodating and we will go again, definitely recommend.
Great Food, Great Service, no complaints at all.
Wife ordered the pan fried Chilean Sea Bass with Whipped potatoes
I got the Walnut burger which came with truffle fries and we ordered a shareable of the parmesan Brussel Sprouts
Dessert was chocolate cake and Birthday cake creme brûlée .
Vegetarian options: Have a new Walnut Burger. Delicious, comes with truffle fries

The galaxy lemonade was amazing. The taste could best be described as sweet with a hint of sour towards the end.
Originally I doubted the ability to get full off of jumbo prawns and was ultimately defeated. The garlic sauce the prawns were served in was so flavorful. The meal is served with 6 prawn and yes they were really huge

The drinks seemed a bit on the short side: if you're going to bring out an old fashioned that doesn't get to the halfway point of the glass it's in, consider using smaller glassware. Perceived value is a thing
I am going to be honest here. My parents took my wife and I here for our birthday meal after we were very disappointed at the new garrison rock. This place is very expensive for the typical ottumwa restaurant, but you know the old saying you get what you pay for.. I splurged and ordered the porterhouse med rare and even asked the waitress that means a little bloody correct.. but I received a (done or more like well done) steak that still tasted amazing, but I was a little bummed because I like them juicy. Either way they made this situation more than better. They also made a customer for life. We live in Arizona and supposedly they are opening one up in Wickenburg AZ. And we will have to check it out soon!

I'm staying at the hotel on business and was a little intimidated at first because this is clearly a fine dining establishment.
However, there are some moderately priced items such as the Mediterranean Flatbread (I would give this 6 out of 5 stars on its own) I shared with my coworker, and the Wissota Burger* for each of us, which is a wagyu burger.
After a couple of drinks our bill was about $65 which is really reasonable for a place like this. I wish I had scouted it earlier and saved up for a bigger meal, and intend to do so next time! Next time I'll be ready to tackle their steaks!
*This was the best burger I've ever had. The Bleu cheese was strong but the aftertaste brought all of the flavors of the burger back after every bite. Extremely good fries as well.
You owe it to yourself to save up for a big date here, or just treat yourself to a delicious meal after a long week. I know it helped me with what's been otherwise an exhausting week.

This experience was perfect from walking in to walking out!
The hostess greeted us warmly and seated us on the patio upon our request. The patio has a cozy feel without being crowded. It is beautifully lit and has heat lamps and a fireplace to relax and unwind.
Our waitress met us with cold water and menus and was very helpful in answering our questions. We ultimately decided on the steak flatbread, "airline" chicken, jumbo prawns, and parmesan crusted brussel sprouts. Our flatbread came out with a baguette, butter, and artisan salts. Both the flavor and texture of each was fantastic! The bread was crusty and made a satisfying crunch when bitten. The butter was creamy and easy to spread or dip with the salts adding that extra punch of flavor. The flatbread was savory and satisfying with a crisp edge and neopolitan center. The steak, veggies, and sauce were just the right proportions to give a creamy, umami mouth feel and flavor. Upon delivery of our mains, Jordan offered freshly cracked pepper. The chicken was served with cheesy crustini and caramelized onion. The chicken was cooked to perfection having a crisp skin while avoiding the rubbery texture typical of restaurant chicken. My boyfriend says the prawns were delicious. His only regret was not also getting some freshly cracked pepper. The brussel sprouts were also delicious and perfectly cooked. Caramelized in some spots but not burned, warm all the way through, and firm enough to have an intact texture.
And then Jordan offered us desert, and the crem brulee sounded amazing, so we ordered that. Oh. My. God. Perhaps the best desert I've ever put in my mouth. My compliments to the chef!
Every bit of food, service, atmosphere cannot be matched by any place else within driving distance. We can't wait to go back and, hopefully, try the goat cheese honey fig appetizer.
Pricey? Maybe, but worth every penny.
