Great small town restaurant/bar

Who cares about the atmosphere and lighting. At the end of day it's did you get what you paid for. It's $13-15 for a burger, $3 for a side, $3 for a soda. Just not worth it to me.

Food was great, service was excellent.

Top notch!!! Best kept secret in Palo. Salad dressings and croutons home made vs that stuff in the big tubs the chains serve and water down. Food is always fantastic and so is the service.

Don’t go for all you can eat fish. Very expensive, and you’ll wait a long time to get more. If you even do at all. Waitress didn’t seem to care either.

Great American Diner/Bar food. The smoked wings were excellent and available tossed or with the sauce on the side. The sandwiches and burgers have a nice mix of sides available that are keto friendly, like cottage cheese and steamed broccoli. Great mix of beers with many Iowa locals on tap. Parking is good on the weekend as other businesses are closed.

Got takeout on Saturday night. Portions were big, but that's really the only positive. Nothing is seasoned, not even with salt. The smoked wings, despite being a house specialty, were bland and drier than a cotton ball. The fish and chips were made with huge chunks of real fish, though again, lacked flavor and salt.

It was my first time here but I'm not sure if I'd come back I'm not sure what was going on with the waitress/server everything was ol k until she was asking what I decided to order off the menu. I order a hamburger usually customers waits for the server given server time to jot/write things down which is what i was doing then before I knew anything the server just starred at me no expression no smile without saying anything what I wanted for my "sides" is what i was waiting for...for her to ask me infront of my female friend . I was like um k? This is very uncomfortable smh I been to many restaurants never had a server stare literally at me in the manner she did she didn't stare at my female friend and even asked what sides of menu she wanted as well soo I don't know what was going on with that smh .she did refill my drink at the table I did leave a $5 tip before leaving the restaurant friendly smiles does help customer's feel welcomed while being served In a restaurant in regards to serving customer's
