Hadn't stopped at Dave's for a couple of years, and they sure didn't disappoint. The food was excellent, the service great and the cafe atmosphere was perfect for visiting with high school friends!!
We stopped in yesterday afternoon for a bite on our way to Woodbine. I parked on the E Main side and entered through 1st Street. There were a few folks sitting at tables and booths. We picked the open booth near the back. Our server was busy preparing a salad bar for the evening crowd; but happily greeted us. Prices on the menu were a surprise. My cheeseburger was only $5.50. Small town cafe located approx between Council Bluffs and Sioux City. Good motorcycle roads in this area of the Loess Hills. Breakfast served until 11:00. I had double cheeseburger for lunch. Heads up: no credit cards. (ATM nearby to get cash).
