Stopped off the highway spontaneously for a pick me up. We'd never had Smokey row and we quite enjoyed it. This location was easy to get to and get right back to the highway. Would recommend.
Cool little neighborhood coffee shop in an old brick-walled building (it's one of several in the greater Des Moines area) with excellent coffee -- we got mocha, iced, and latte with various milks -- and a chill vibe. Speaking of chill, they have an ice cream counter! Along with treats like scones, cookies, rice krispie bars.

I love the Moose Tracks Ice cream and Bear Creek Carmel. My kids like going because it's a different vibe and fun. They have the spinny stools in front of the ice cream cooler. The wait time is usually longer, but if you go into that expecting that then it's not a problem. Just don't go if you are in a hurry. Quality of service has never been a problem, just not in a rush.
