First time we've eaten at Halftime. Stopped there after reading that it was one of the 2025 Iowa's Best Burger contest finalists announced by the Iowa Beef Industry Council. Had the "Southwestern" burger. FANTASTIC! WIll go back. Was a little worried as Smash & Grab Burger in Knoxville was also on the list that they can't hold a candle to Halftime!
She had the cheeseburger, with onion rings and thought the cheeseburger was delicious, the onion rings so so, they looked frozen. I had the sausage sandwich it was ok nomild or hot peppers, had sautéed onions. The French fries were cold, there were frozen. Wait staff was good and attentive. Clean
Highly recommend the Barnyard Burger. Award winner for all the right reasons! Worth the trip.

Halftime Bar & Grill offers excellent service and delicious food. The burgers are juicy and thick, including the humpback burger, the barnyard burger, and the Southwestern burger—all top-notch and award-winning. The homemade macaroni salad is a treat, and the chili has a perfect balance of spice. The pepper jack cheeseballs are a delight, and the crinkle fries, waffle fries, and onion rings are very well cooked. With a cozy atmosphere and friendly, efficient staff, this small-town gem is a must-visit. Whether you're in the area or willing to drive, you'll enjoy a satisfying meal in a welcoming environment.
