This place is absolutely on the bottom of my list to come to anymore. I come from Clarinda to get different food once in a while normally it’s just waiting time that would suck but today was absolutely a terrible visit. I came in with my kids today before we even got inside there was like half the staff outside with door wide open blow there vapes everywhere should have just left them. Came inside and all I hear is a guy in the back holler at the manager at that time are u gonna take that order I’m not I’m ready to go home. And then proceeded to complain the entire time making our order and then there was another gentleman that just stood up front talk to other customers and not helping. I definitely will put this to the bottom of my list to go to.. Burger King corporate definitely need to come in and do some clean out.
Unusual quick service for this resturant. I was presently surprise
We waited for about 35 mins for our food. Pretty sure we saw the people behind us receive our food. After waiting my boyfriend went to go inside where a lady with major attitude problems proceeded to tell him it was his fault for driving away. Even though we had been sitting for over half an hour. For $16 worth of food. Then when we got our “food” it isn’t even ours. They supposedly are giving us a refund, but pretty positive it will be going to the wrong order. I would just go to McDonald’s if I were you. Or make dinner at home (however el portal slaps too) just don’t go here if you don’t want your time and money to be wasted.
These guys/gals were busy didn’t get mad at each other food came out perfect not sloppy like most places deff will come back….. one thing is the bathroom needs a little cleaning but other then that 8/10 from me!!
The food we ordered was cooked fresh. The service was friendly. They brought the food to our table.

I’ve been going to this Burger King for years. And even with there ups and downs they have always been there. The management team is so hardworking and always try’s their best to make sure everything runs smoothly! As someone who has worked fast food themselves I know how much people can demand things they don’t actually understand. This is a great place to eat and truly is a great environment for all!

I was here a week ago and had ordered the Bacon King and the bacon wasn't even done plus I had to wait on fresh fries that I had asked for while ordering. The people ahead of me had to wait 20 minutes for their food.

I don’t even know if I have the words…first of all, let me be clear. The people at this location are always super friendly and genuinely seem to want to help. If they had a star rating for that they’d get 5.
I’ve been battling this Burger King for a while and I’m finally done for the foreseeable future. Whoever owns this place, is there any time in the near future that the roadside sign is going to look like something other than a white frame surrounding an unopened box of Christmas lights? At least they finally replaced the drive thru menu which used to house only half a menu (the rest had fallen to the bottom along with its will to live) and evidence of angry birds. And on a tangent, to whomever makes the app which I know is not local, tell me in what region are onion rings so popular with kids that when you order a kids meal, the option for fries isn’t even there? If you want fries for the kids you have to have them correct it at the drive thru. That’s why the phrase “burger and rings” is so popular, right?
This place has been out of almost anything you can name. If I order something for my family, at least one person can’t have what they ordered, minimum. No bun for the chicken sandwich. We’re out of the crispy chicken. We’re out of that drink. We’re not participating in that new deal advertised everywhere. No ketchup??? Like not even the packets? HOW? Anything that’s missing, I can go to the app and then battle it out with them until finally they said they couldn’t offer anything more breaker I had to use the app so often to get credit for food wet never ate. By then end the only thing I was guaranteed was disappointment.
The atmosphere is depressing in itself. A lot of times they’re left with one person working both inside and drive thru because everyone has quit around them. I don’t envy the folks that actually showed up, only to have people complain that they’re out of stuff.
Again the people that actually showed up to work and did their job, I don’t fault them. Whoever is in charge of building maintenance, and whoever orders the food and condiments or decides how much needs to be stocked, you need to step it up. It takes a lot for me to take the time write a bad review. This has been a bad experience food-wise for long enough that it would take a complete overhaul like they did with the Pizza Hut in town to restore any source of faith. Having the Burger King sign actually up and displayed after however many years it’s been, now, would be a good indication that somewhere, someone actually cares about the place.

Ordered my meals as large meals. All of them were at least medium. Burger was supposed to be a double and came as a single. Took forever to get the food. Do not recommend this location

This place is pretty terrible. Some of the poorest service I've gotten from a fast food restaurant. I've been the only person in line and had to wait over 20 minutes to get my food. Ridiculous. Hire some more staff or something. Or at least more competent staff.
The food itself is pretty decent. The size of the burgers are fairly big, especially the patties themselves, with good texture of the meat and veggies. They're actually comparable to what you'd see in the marketing.
The fries are not great, which have a sort of mealy texture to them and leave a starchy film in your mouth. The onion rings are only slightly better, as they're a bit squishy. The chicken sticks are pretty alright, but they'd be better if they were offered as a side.
The only two reasons I keep coming here at all are because
1) I think the food is fairly decent, and I like their burgers in particular, and
2) there aren't many other food options available here in Shen, especially if you're on a tight schedule.
Vegetarian options: The "Impossible Whopper" is the same is as the regular Whopper but with a vegetarian substitute patty instead of the beef one. I think it's pretty good. The difference is subtle. The texture is mostly the same, if not slightly squishier, and the flavor is also mostly the same, if not a bit more onion-y.

6/12/24 - took 10 minutes for our order to be taken, and literally 20 minutes to get our food. I’ve never seen fast food workers move so slow as the girls in the back. Guy at the drive-thru looked liked he wanted to pull his hair out waiting for them. Would not recommend if in a hurry.
