We finally saved up enough to treat ourselves to a meal out, and chose Los Tulipanes in Sioux Center unfortunately, it was a big disappointment. I ordered a burrito and my wife got the supreme nachos (no tomatoes). Her nachos were sitting in chicken water the chips were soggy, the chicken was waterlogged with no flavor, and there was barely any cheese sauce on them. We had to ask for extra cheese, and when it came out, it was cold. They even charged us an extra $5 for the cold cheese.
For the price we paid, this was extremely disappointing, and we won’t be going back.

I have been to the Sheldon, Iowa location and was giving this location, Sioux Center, IA, a chance. I ordered a full order of nachos - beef and chicken. The beef was very bland with no seasoning and the chicken was dry even though it had some peppers cooked in it. The queso is thin and running. The marguarita was horrible. They use tequila and an orange soda. I didn't even finish my meal.
We were from out of state stopped in for a late dinner. Our food was excellent, served hot and seasoned perfectly. We would highly recommend this restaurant. Service was fantastic.

Restaurantji Recommends
Food is average, I had a fajita burrito with steak. The veggies were under cooked to what I like, and the steak was over cooked. It is a sunday and slow so food came out fast which was a plus. It's hot in the restaurant, AC I don't think was working. Beer and a burrito was $20, not bad prices.

This place was absolutely amazing!!!! We had a huge group of 22 people and then servers were on top of their game! The table was ready, they got our orders and chips out fast and the food was impressively out fast despite our big party. And food was so good. 10/10

Terrible service, it seems to me that the owner is very arrogant and the worst thing is that (they do not sell cakes) the Mexican restaurant does not sell cakes and the old clown does not sell cakes, he feels handsome, only he serves them friendly and has a waiter who is his accomplice
