So I stopped in to try their food as I travel a lot. Well I stood there for couple min while no one was in the place. When someone came out I said I would like to place an oder to go. Well so didn't know what I said I asked for menu she said no, ok so I guess they don't serve food or fine by me, place looked horrible probably saved my stomach

Very flavorful and pretty spicy. We each had a unique dish and all of them were good.

I think the place has changed ownership. It used to be amazing. First, the door says open at ten. We came at 1150 and were told no one would be there to cook for another ten minutes. Got our one menu to share after a lady came in. Ordered traditional Ethiopian coffee, and we ended up with an Americano, possibly? Not the traditional spiced coffee that comes in the jebena. Ordered the meat platter to try which is supposed to have five different things. We ended up with three, only one of them was actually one we ordered. Big differences too. We ended up with what I think was lamb when we didn't order anything with lamb. Not a big deal, but there was literally almost no meat on the bones. Think it maybe tenderized and ended up in the sauce? Maybe, but I didn't see any. To top it off we were charged $30 when the menu price of what we ordered would have been $18. We wouldn't have even known how much we were charged until I checked the bank because no one gave us a receipt or anything. I literally have no idea why we were charged what we were or even what we ate. Ayashas was much better and way more friendly.

This place might be my favorite restaurant in town. Delicious food, full of flavor. Cozy atmosphere that seems like a great place for friends to gather. Excellent prices for the portion sizes--my husband and I shared two entrees, and we didn't even come close to finishing them in one meal. We ordered the firfir (left) and the tibs (right), and both were excellent. They can adjust the spice level as you desire, so don't worry about it being too spicy. We also had some delicious coffee while we waited for our food. It's hard to find Ethiopian food in many smaller places, so it's a privilege to have Elilly here in town. Thank you for a great meal! We'll be back.
