I've been here twice now with three other ladies for girls' night out. I was disappointed this second time as they were presumptively on a winter menu. Missing from the menu were most of the items we ordered the first time which included a kale salad and a tofu main dish, then two of the dishes we would've ordered were sold out. There was what I would call only standard pub fair. My girlfriends burgers were great. since I am vegetarian and everything I would've eaten was sold out, I ordered sides of brussels sprouts and stir fried steak mushrooms, but felt for $18 this was a little high for the small quantity I received. The service in this restaurant is always great, the people are friendly. But our food took forever- a whole hour- to come out. The main dishes are priced a little high ($30). I really want to like this restaurant, I really want it to succeed. I love the people, the atmosphere, the convenience for shows and gambling and the hotel. I just REALLY wish it had a more robust menu, and if you are going to be late bringing food out, give a drink coupon or have the awareness that will be the case and send some rolls or a free appetizer or something. Also vegetarian burgers are easy to stock to appease a growing minority. Please management, address these complaints...

The food was cold and tastless. For the price and special holiday, the ambience was no better than a church hall. We will not be participating in the future.

I was excited to eat at Main Abby. I have never eaten there before. I had eaten at the buffet Hard Rock used to have. It was excellent. This buffet was not a win. The salad had been wilted, like it was made the day before & oops we put it in a freezer for half a hour. As we worked down the line from scrambled eggs, sausage & bacon. Edible. Now as we move to the mac & cheese. Overcooked to bleh. Green bean casserole was barely warm. Pork was alright. Onto the beef... I was served rocklike bark. Nothing edible on that pile. So I gave it a second chance when a new piece came out. Well, husband said that's not bark, it's burnt. I gave it a chance. Said no bark to the server. So overcooked. So disappointed. Even a 3rd time, deeper into the cut. Nope. It was so evercooked. WE are Disappointed. WE Don't recommend. WE , table of 3, felt tables were so oddly spaced. People had issues getting between seats to even get to the buffet.

It was a very good brunch. Out server was right on top of things and the food was delicious.

Too often, a great piece of meat is over-cooked. It was not worth the price.

I sat at the bar to try the new menu, and I was disappointed by what I experienced. Part of the Main+Abbey appeal for me is being able to watch the kitchen work, but what I saw from the sous chef was unprofessional. Instead of focusing on food that was ready to be served, he spent a noticeable amount of time chatting with a young server, and it made the entire encounter feel awkward and uncomfortable to watch.

When he did return to the kitchen, his tone toward the staff was surprisingly harsh. Barking orders and speaking disrespectfully isn’t necessary, and it created a tense atmosphere for the guests sitting nearby.

My food arrived cold, and in a restaurant of this caliber, I expected better. When Chef Evan made his rounds through the dining room, I thought he might check in, but he walked past with a scowl on his face, giving the impression that quality wasn’t a priority. Whatever happened to the previous chef and manager who engaged with guests? They always seemed invested and welcoming.

I’ve been dining at Main+Abbey for years, and I’ve consistently had rockstar experiences until now. I plan to return because I know what this restaurant is capable of, and I’m hoping this visit was an exception. I’d love to see the level of hospitality and care that Main+Abbey is known for return to the forefront.

It was ridiculous to find the actual restaurant only to be told that we needed reservations. When googling the location of doesn't say you need reservations. So we walked thru the smoke filled casino to find the stupid restaurant. I'll never try to eat there again.

Wonderful atmosphere, food to die for (if you don't think you like brussel sprouts, these will make you a believer). Staff is amazing... a very memorable evening!

Their burger is very good and juicy! My friend had the chicken Marsala and she said it was really good as well.

Another great meal with friends at Main+Abbey in the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Sioux City. And our server was AMAZING!

My husband had steak and was pleased with his meal. I have food allergies and there were only a couple of choices for me to choose from. The waitress was not very knowledgeable about offerings for me and only pointed to the menu which had vegetarian and gluten free options only. I chose the chicken sandwich without the bun, mayo, and fries and added a side salad. The chicken was extremely dry and I could only eat part of it due to it being tasteless. Please add more options for those of us with food allergies.

Great mixed cocktails and menu. Service is attentiveness. Quiet enough to carry on a conversation.

Very nice place eat but on the high end of pricing in Sioux City, Iowa. Food was excellent. If you want a nice evening out and have the money, don't pass up Main + Abby.
