My whole family has gotten cakes here and never had an issue. I ordered a 8 inch cake and asked for gold and white. After seeing the cake I am extremely disappointed. They did like a brown orange color for the “gold”. I asked nicely if someone was there to fix the cake because of how bad it looked but there was no one. This problem never would have occurred if the cake decorator called me and told me they couldn’t do a gold color, and we could have figured something else out. I would have been happy with all white, but there was no communication. It’s obvious the effort wasn’t there. The lady that helped me was trying to gaslight me into thinking the brown orange color was gold when it obviously isn’t. They need to work on their customer service skills as well.The manager did give me half a refund, but all I wanted was more effort!

I am very disappointed in Sunkist Bakery I been ordering cakes there for over 20 years never ever had a bad cake I have ordered 2 and both of them were dry and nasty tasting. I don't understand you guys took pride in your cakes always had them decorated so cool now you just throw them together. I will not be back and your store is dirty and you never have any donuts available anymore. So sad you were always the best bakery in town now you are the worst.

We have ordered cakes for the last 10+ years at Sunkist. Unfortunately, this was the first year where we had a horrible experience that makes us question if we will continue to order cakes from them in the future. We went in to order the cake on the 7/20 and the lady behind the counter would not take the order because “we have to put the order in closer to the event” and they “will not take any orders until 1-2 weeks before the event.” My son’s birthday party was 8/24. We went again and again several times, at least once a week since then and the same lady said the same thing. We went in on 8/20 after we were instructed to come in specifically that day to finally place our order and the same lady said that “they are not taking orders because they have too many orders”. Clearly they were taking orders previously when they told us that they are not. So after trying to place an order for over a month, we still ended up with no cake. To say we are devastated is an understatement as we have ordered cakes from Sunkist for many years and was planning on continuing to do so. Unfortunately, nothing can be done for my son but I hope they will change something about this process/the lady behind the counter taking the orders or they will continue to lose business from loyal customers.

I take my daughter on Fridays for a nice treat and asked for glazed and a chocolate Doughnuts and received day old Doughnuts expecting fresh. Dried up! Disgusting. If you don't have fresh don't sell them at fresh price and not say anything to the customer.

They had a similar texture to rough homemade bread, not soft texture I've had with any others at any store. They were also dry, lacked flavor, and one of my donuts had an uncooked spot. The employees smoke rite outside the back door which is easily visible to customers and about 60 feet from the customer entrance. #Never again.

Used to go here when I was younger. Had not been back for a long time. Was excited to not only go again, but to bring someone along who had never been here. It’s a bakery! Who doesn’t like a fresh bakery!?! Right?? Well, is was a pretty big disappointment. Right out of the gate, we see the cases are about bare. Kind of a bummer, but also thinking that perhaps things sell fast due to quality. Although the employees seemed to be most interested in playing on their phones, over cleaning, etc., they were quite attentive once it seemed we needed something. Out of the minimal choices left, we selected copies of several things, as we wanted to try something now, and have some left for a weekend trip. The first ones we tried, were a disappointment. Not only did they lack some bakery flavor (Walmart you may expect a lesser quality, but a bakery you expect better), but they were dry, as I’d they were at least 1-2 days old, if not more. We were bummed, but figured the next would only then improve. Nope, not even a little. I don’t mean dry like, you need a drink…. I mean like crusty dry. Long story short, I had to apologize to the person I brought, as I built up excitement to go here, and explain that this place used to be good, and I don’t know why it was not on this day. We also threw the rest of the dozen in the garbage, because they were all so dry and old tasting when we bought them. That they would only get worst. Time wasted, and money down the drain. Not much, it’s pretty inexpensive, but still, it’s the principal of it. So, because of this experience, I checked the reviews. Something I should have done first. I saw many people complaining and having bad experiences as well. So I thought it best to add my 2 cents so that the next person can hopefully take heed before deciding to go here, and also to allow the owners to see yet another review that shows they really need to do something about their service and quality.
