First time here, but the Diving Elk was a highlight! Both the grow a pear and Oaxaca-watermelon cocktails were amazing! Food was just as good as the drinks - the shishito peppers were SO good, brussel sprouts and burgers too!

Great place to go down on 4th Street, one of our favorites downtown. Drink selection is good. Several fun cocktails to try. Service is great. A really nice place to go for a date, with friends, or as a family.

As Johnny Weissmuller asked Buster Crabbe, "What dive did you come out of?"
Food was completely devoid of salt, and no salt shaker was anywhere in sight.
Service was adequate.
Atmosphere is a modest upgrade from last year.

Love this place. Best cocktails in Sioux City. Solid beer list that rotates. Good wine list even though options are limited. This goes with consistent food. But most of all, best old fashion hands down anywhere.
Vegetarian options: Always have vegan options!
Wheelchair accessibility: Easy front door access.

This is absolutely one of my favorite restaurants in Sioux City. Behind the bar and they are making the best cocktails in all of the region and offer a great assortment of craft beer. However, if you are looking for a bush light or something like that, you may be disappointed. However, the staff can make sure to give you good recommendations. The food is equally delicious. What I appreciate most about it is that the menu isn’t extensive because everything they do is done well and they are intentional with the ingredients. Some absolute favorites of mine would be the brussels sprouts and the truffle fries. The steamed buns are to die for. Their Smashburger is messy, but worth it. Finally, don’t sleep on their salads. They are tasty as well, and if you add a steak to it, you are getting a great meal for a good price. oh and how can I forget the desserts. They are great, but I rarely have room for them. Their staff is very knowledgeable about the great cocktails and are happy to help if you have questions. The atmosphere overall is inviting. I would say it’s a nicer place, but it’s not pretentious. Maybe a little rustic, but not country. Probably the best description for it would be comfortable and casual. Check it out! Cheers.
Vegetarian options: For having a limited menu already, they do have a number of vegetarian options. On a number of their menu items it says next to it what you could sub to make it vegetarian.
Wheelchair accessibility: There are a couple of handicap spaces on the street near the entrance, but very few. you may also need help with the double doors getting in, but it is spacious once you are in.

Picked this local spot because of the reviews. Waited a bit as it was packed. We order our drinks. A cider and the diving elk ale. Both really good. Appetizers were next. We ordered the queso with chips and the brussel sprouts. The queso was average and the sprouts were super delicious!!! My wives burger was under cooked as she wanted it well done. Sent it back and got a new one. She really liked the burger. Her truffle fries although were below average. My steak, garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus were the highlight of the evening. Perfectly cooked and super yummy. Didn't add anything to the steak as it was super good. Ate every last bit of it. If your looking for a local spot for dining. Don't hesitate, try The Diving Elk in Sioux City and the brussel sprouts!

Service was fine. Atmosphere was fine...very busy. Unfortunately the food was not good, specifically the fish was terrible. It was 70% batter and 30% fish. One of the pieces of fish was deep fried to the point that it wasn't consumable, it was just a piece of petrified oil.
The beer selection was excellent.
