The Wheelhouse Bar & Grill

Found this place by simply using Uncle Google. Being a bar food regular this place was on the upper tear. Service was quick and friendly. Beers were frosty. Bar seating was full with regulars which isnt common, in my experience, especially when there was seemed to be about 20 seats. Relaxed atmosphere plenty of TVs with various sports/shows to watch. Had multiple people make sure I was taken care of throughout my meal. Going to my go to locally owned spot when I'm in the area. Jill also let me know they had plenty of good food options ontop of my regular wing and fry order. Even offered to make sure she would throw out suggestions on future visits.

The food here was AMAZING!! Prime rib French dip was so unbelievably tender. We also had a rueben that was incredibly thick and so so flavorful!!! Wait staff was awesome too!! Definitely coming back!

Came in for some food last night and left with nothing. The older blonde server was extremely rude. Didn’t introduce herself or anything walked over and told us if we wanna order we better hurry up and then walked away.

The only restaurant we could find where the kitchen was open after a concert. Staff was very gracious.

Out of town visiter I would not come back or recommend. Hostess stood against the wall for 3 minutes watching us while bsing with one of the bar tenders. Staff was yelleing at each other and swore. Server was okay but the whole atmosphere of the place ruined the visit. Food was just okay. Aug 14 2025

Great spot. We stop here every time we are in Sioux City. Good good, great drinks and lively atmosphere.

Food was good. We went during happy hour to have a couple of drinks. Our server did not give us happy hour price. We felt rushed out the door. So if you do go make sure your ticket is correct and you actually get happy hour prices.

Filthy environment including bathrooms. Had I gone into bathroom first I never would have eaten there. What happened to management making sure eating establishments are clean and staff taking care of paying customers. I won't be back.

This is a great sports bar with a good menu and drink options. As with every business, wait staff can be really great or not. We tend to sit at the bar when we can because that staff is top notch. You can usually get most any televised sporting event on one of the many tvs. They have sections that are easily used for larger parties and gatherings.

If there is one thing that needs improvement though it is their restrooms. While usually clean by appearance, there is a funky smell. Nothing that keeps us away but might to a newcomer.

Just driving through town and stopped for lunch. Restrooms were filthy, men's and women's, order was wrong, waitress was rude after informing her it was wrong, water tasted funny, cheeseburger was extremely over seasoned. Had lots of what appeared to be locals or regulars inside, so must be doing something right, but if we're in town again, we won't return.
