Best rural restaurant in the region. Literally the only restaurant within 50 miles that has fresh seafood, and let me tell you, it is FANTASTIC. Anything on the menu is a slam dunk. I have weekly thoughts about the giant lobster tail and their top shelf long Island ice teas. Great place for an anniversary or birthday dinner, Cozy country atmosphere, family friendly. We've lived in Iowa over 16yrs near Thor and we ate here at Unkies for the 1st time on 10/4/24. We've heard how good the food is by many. Well it was not just good it was GREAT, we had an 8oz Rib-eye. It was cooked perfect, flavored just right.

Always get great service. We live about 2 hours away but it is always a nice treat. The jumbo shrimp is ? and the prime rib is very good. Get the sandwich cut prime rib with a few shrimp. It won't disappoint.
