Stopped in to this place while in town for a sporting event. Best breakfast burrito I've ever had, hands down! The staff were all super friendly and provided great service. I'm actually trying to find another reason to get back to Iowa just to get another breakfast burrito!!!!

Very diner-y vibe. Sitting at the counter enhanced that experience, despite being in a strip mall. It was quite busy around 10am on a Sunday. Clearly a popular choice. I chose the pancake platter which includes 2 eggs and 2 slices of bacon (eggs your way and meat options are available). It was HUGE. Seriously, way to much for one human to eat. They had a half order and when my eyes had stopped bugging out over the size of my meal, I was wishing I had chosen the half order. The pancakes were fluffy. Scrambled eggs were good. Bacon had a great flavor. Only reason I didn't rate a five was that Husband had asked for extra crispy hashbrowns, and they definitely were not. Service was great. Overall, a very good experience.

I just love this little kept secret in Des Moines. For me it is my favorite place to go to start my day, have some coffee and a nice large serving of home cooked food! Though I don’t personally know the owners or staff they are always there with a friendly smile and I feel like I’m part of the family when I’m there. I almost was hesitant to write this glowing review because I also like the fact that not everyone knows about the place! I get to treat many local people to a place where they have never been before. Sometimes I just go there for a hearty breakfast and coffee alone and the diner style lunch counter allows for some great conversation when dining alone! The other 3 secrets I hate sharing with everyone…1) can only think on one time in the 90-100 times I’ve been here where I have ever had to wait to be seated except one time it was 5 minutes and that was only because I let an elderly couple (twice my age) be seated ahead of me in a full restaurant, and even at max capacity everything was awesome!2) you get a nice size portion of food at a very reasonable price. I can’t think of many other places I could go for breakfast and coffee for 2 for about $25 and that included what I spent on taxes and tip.3) the coffee is better and sells for less than it does at the gas station shhh don’t tell anyone but sometimes I talk them into letting me take the rest of my glass in a Togo container and they agree to it everytime! ?. All kidding aside, I like this place a lot, it truly is my favorite breakfast spot in the Des Moines area not to mention they make an awesome lunch as well.. and truly great people!Parking: Right up front! Lots of free parking! And a bus stop accross the street almost!Wheelchair accessibility: Perfect you can almost park up front or 1 row away any day!

Eggs Benedict was weak. Hollandaise sauce was runny and had zero flavor. She said it’s homemade but that’s hard to believe. Eggs were overcooked. Wont be back.

Seated immediately upon arrival on a Sunday morning. Staff was quick to say hello and take our drink orders. We had great service with regular drink refills, and our waitress gave us a heads up on the busy kitchen so we ordered a delicious cinnamon roll for the table appetizer. Our food came out hot and fresh, just as ordered. It was tasty-from the chocolate chip pancakes and waffles to the omelettes and breakfast sandwich. We will be back!
