“Ordered two large pizzas at $9.99 last night for delivery. Please note back in the early 80’s I worked about 5000 hours delivering for Dominoes in Northridge California. I’ve ordered dominoes prolly two or three times a year and it’s typically pretty good.
However the pizzas last night were excellent. Almost too hot to eat, and loaded with toppings. The driver was there in short order and these were A++ pizzas. Bravo!“

“Absolutely incredible experience! We walked in with our own champagne, and the bartenders were amazing and super welcoming. They opened it for us and put it on ice without hesitation. We did the Omakase sushi dinner, and every single bite was amazing. Fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service was top-notch from start to finish. Can’t recommend enough—10/10! 🍣🍷✨“

“We were at hospital & ran late so ordered at last minute. The owner/manager stayed and waited for us to pick up pizza. It was delicious and nice and hot. Perfect for the perfectly awful day we just had. Thanks so much for such good service!“

“Another great dinner at Basic Bird for dinner tonight. Double dunk is still my favorite but we tried the sweet potatoes and the spam gimbap as new items. As always, BB did not disappoint. Thank you for recommending having the sauces o the side for my SIL and for the ribs. they were delightful. I wanted to be the glasses guy so I could throw my glasses after a bite.“

“I’m glad I waited to post a review because I would have originally gave this place 1 or 2 stars based off of one very irritating circumstance that happened when dining last night. But, I then started thinking about all the really good things in comparison and didn’t think that would be truly deserving.
Nonetheless- it’s extremely disappointing to spend $11 on an appetizer— and not have any time to actually eat it or enjoy it. What was most bothersome is that I even asked the gal taking our order if it would come ahead of the main meals — and she assured me it would. Well she wasn’t wrong, but it was literally 2 minutes after getting the appetizer, here came the main course. Uggh! Really?
At that point you’re forced to decide which one you’re gona let get cold, not enjoy, and waste money on.
This was really my only criticism. But it was soooo very frustrating that it almost earned them a 1-star review. Everything else was great. Burgers were on point, sides were delicious, service was great.
Get the timing of food delivery down (especially when asked) and things would have been purely great.“

“We had our son’s 5th birthday here. It was absolutely phenomenal. The service was second to none. Manager and staff were all super kind and accommodating. The food was hot and fresh. The young kid working the game room was cleaning and helping customers the entire time. Not one person on their phone. 10/10 awesome experience!“

“Update: The owner reached out and was very apologetic. He provided us with some gift cards and we gave them a second chance and had zero issues. Very impressed with this response.
Ordered through the BWW app for delivery. Delivery was here super quick - cool! Finally sat down to eat with the family and turns out our order was partially wrong. We had ordered 6 parm garlic traditional wings and 20 boneless wings with 10 honey BBQ and 10 Asian zing. We ended up getting 10 parm garlic wings instead of the Asian zing. Already, my husband is irritated because he had a long day and all he wanted to do was eat dinner. Ok. So I call and I speak with a lady who claims she is the manager. She tells me I need to call DoorDash. Huh? I didn’t order through DoorDash… She says she can’t see my name, phone number, or card number. Okay? Sooo you can take my money without any info? Okay cool. I persistently keep telling her I didn’t order through DoorDash and she just is not getting it. She tells me the owner will give me a call. Okay whatever. Still have not heard back from the manager nor owner about this crazy ordeal. While it’s only like $11, it’s more the fact that my family’s dinner was pretty much ruined and there isn’t anything anyone can do about it apparently since I ordered through BWW but they use DoorDash for delivery.“

“This was some of the best food I’ve had in months. The chicken tenders are so moist and flavorful. The batter mixture and the softness of the waffle is as good as it gets. I’ve had the classic chicken and waffles pairing before but never done so well. Arguably the best cornbread I’ve had in my life also. I cannot ~wait~ to come back and to put everyone onto this place.“

“This is the absolute best service I have ever had from a pizza place consistently over and over and over!! The pizza consistently come faster than expected perfectly hot and delicious. “I ❤️ Papa John's, always good service and hot food and extremely rare to mess things up. This location on Douglas in Urbandale needs an applause. I do have one bone to pick, this sandwich sucked. Not enough meat to bread ratio by a long shot.“

“ordered a 32 piece and were not disappointed! got Nashville hot and santa fe. Nashville wasn't very hot but still tasty. wings were great size and cooked perfectly. so juicy. fries also good. just needed a tad more seasoning. 8 out of 10 will order again!“

“The staff is awesome. The food wasn’t that great. It was okay. Except for the chicken. The chicken is great. What I like most about this place is that it feels like traveling back in time to the 90s to go out to dinner with your family.“
