I do wish the Donutland here in Urbandale would have crème filled Long Johns, Bismarcks and specialty items like the Donutland on Center Point Rd in Cedar Rapids. They are fantastic! With crème inside with frosting and crème on top.

What can I say. This place nails it all. The donuts are super good, not over frosted and not too sugary. You can tell they were freshly made the morning of. Service was solid. The workers aren’t too focused on being personable with the customers. Its a small shop, so getting people in and out quick looks like a main goal of theirs, and that leads me to the atmosphere. Yes its a small shop, but these guys are very prepped and ready to get you in and out quickly to keep business rolling. Super badass system that they have going. 100% worth trying.

I went to Donutland on Saturday, June 28th around 9:15 AM. I was greeted by a younger employee who welcomed me into the store. The woman next to her, who I would assume is the manager or the owner of the store, was helping another customer check out. She says to the customer while looking at me, “She looks like she’s never eaten a donut in her life.” She was making a comment about my body, implying that I am skinny. She then proceeds to tell me, “I used to look like that when I was your age.”These comments were completely inappropriate, unprofessional, and offensive. I did not come into your store to have my body judged or discussed. I was there as a paying customer, expecting kindness and respect, not to be body shamed. Whether she meant it as a joke or not, it’s unacceptable to make unsolicited comments about someone’s body, especially in a public setting. Her words made me feel extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome. No one should be made to feel self-conscious for their appearance when supporting a business. I’m genuinely upset and disappointed that this kind of behavior is tolerated.

These are some of the best - if not THE best donuts in The Des Moines Metro.
Decent donuts but holy moly! $3.64 for ONE long john? Had I known ahead of time (prices aren’t listed anywhere,) I would have never purchased. I did get a free bag of donut holes (which were super good - still fresh at 12 pm - and super big)! And the guy at the counter was polite and friendly. Unfortunately, I have lots of donut places closer to me, so I won’t be back solely bc of price.
