Amazing delicious food

We LOVED ISTANBUL Cafe! We had the most delicious olive oil we’ve ever had in our life, including being in Greece for 10 days. It was the most delicious and tender chicken we too have ever ever had. We can’t recommend Istanbul café enough! Five stars to the wonderful people that are serving all of us! Point we will be back!

Food is good, service is good, place is clean, but price is very high and doesn’t match the small portions. Increase the portions and it will be fair.

Our favorite restaurant! The best food to eat and the people are so kind and welcoming!

We always either stop in or pick up and the food has always been tasty and we have no complaints! Our kiddos always feel happy and welcome and enjoy whatever we eat! They love the classic chicken tenders (adult approved too!)

Had some steaks and tried their new wings today, steaks were done perfectly and the wings had a wonderful flavor. Owner stopped by our table (he is always so great!) and served us a special steak sauce (that honestly goes well with the fries and the chicken wings!!) and mentioned he loves the sauce with mushrooms so he brought some over to us and they were fantastic!!

The pistachio baklava is always perfect and there’s so many more dessert options available!! Don’t forget the Turkish tea!

The best halal restaurant!! 100% halal and 100% amazing!

Excellent food and service. We had a party of 9 and ordered quite a bit to try a lot of their menu. Everything we tried was amazing. Our server Mehmet was very attentive, extremely kind, and checked in frequently.

As a vegetarian i was thrilled at the multiple options to eat. The vegetable pide, grape leaves, zuchinni pancakes, and falafel was perfect. If you are looking for some unique food in the Des Moines area, I’d highly recommend Istanbul Grill! So many options, and excellent staff.

Our first time trying Turkish cuisine. When we walked in we were very impressed with the atmosphere. The service was so above and beyond and everything we ordered was absolutely incredible! Can't wait to go back.

It seems fancy but the staff is a family and they love kids. Their Turkish pizza is amazing, and they'll even teach you how to eat it. Went here on a Monday night for my birthday, finally ordered an appetizer, which I now highly recommend. The pepperoni pide my husband tried was also really good, especially paired with the avocado garlic feta dip (which was also good by itself). On a previous visit I had the Turkish dumplings, which are very cute and tasty.

Wonderful service, very nice interior and atmosphere. Food was lackluster. Maybe Istanbul food normally lacks spice, I don't know. Salad seemed to have oil but no vinegar so tasteless. Chicken kabob needed seasoning, rice needed salt at least. I was told the soup was good, I didn't have any. Also did not try the bread but was told it was dense and lackluster. Maybe this is how the food is supposed to be for that culture. Not appetizing for us. Now with all that said, desserts looked wonderful, but we didn't try any. Keep trying!
