Cashier was unfriendly, you could tell she was frazzled although they weren’t even that busy(we had one person in front of us). We waited 32 minutes for a plain cup of hot coffee and an iced mocha! We watched them serve car after car while we waited. For some reason the people that come in aren’t as important as those in the drive through. I said something to the young gal working, she finally slopped my drink together and sat it up there. No “I’m sorry for the long wait”, no eye contact or anything! I’m disappointed and appalled at the lack of customer service. We go to Jordan Creek Smokey Row several times a week and have never been treated this way, nor have we ever had to wait over a half hour for coffee! We weren’t the only ones complaining, one guy told them he had to go, just forget it and left without getting a refund. The guy in front of us only ordered a cup of tea. He asked about it 3 times, he still didn’t have his tea when we left!

This is the main Smokey Row but they have satellite coffee houses all around the Des Moines Metro. The food is excellent. But the main thing here is the coffee. They have all of the usual things you would expect, like flavored coffee drinks and so forth. But the real star of the show for me is the house blend black coffee. It is the best black coffee I have had - and I have had a lot, and in a lot of places. Highly recommend!

The coffee was good, but our breakfasts were really bad. I ordered a sausage sandwich with egg and cheese. The cheese wasn't melted and the sausage and egg were cool. Wife has biscuits and gravy with just a little sausage and just a little warm. Being part of Hy-Vee probably doesn't help. Won't be going back.

Employees need trained on how to make a basic cup of coffee. What was made today would barely qualify as weak tea. I'm guessing they just aren't changing the grounds when they make coffee which is gross on it's own. This place needs some kind of adult supervision.

Love the coffee and convenience of this location but hope they improve the drive-up experience. Cup is always filled too full for commuters. And, not sure if it's poor quality cups or lids but guarantied spill every time even if you specifically ask for some room at the top and a stopper (see pics). I don't have this issue with Starbucks or Caribou so have to believe it's the quality of the cups/lids.

Very nice, new space, pretty good food. Why only 2 stars? No matter what latte or coffee we order, all the employees barely fill the cup 3/4 full, if that... And that's with foam or no foam. Since ALL employees do it the same, this has come from management. If I'm paying $5+ for a coffee, I expect a full cup! So now my family and I just go into the attached Hy-Vee Fast n Fresh, get a nice "bean to cup" Caribou Coffee in there for $1-$2 max and it actually tastes better, in our opinion, then we just sit in Smokey Row and enjoy the nice atmosphere without overpaying for less/inferior coffee. (Although granted, Smokey Row coffee is usually good.) Not cool Smokey Row... You know what you're doing and people notice!
This place is excellent. The staff is awesome. Very nice and friendly. Good selection of coffee, malts and sandwiches. Is a must visit.

Friendly staff, incredible dining space with a variety of seating like tables, booths, corner couch, and a killer outdoor patio with a fireplace! Fast WiFi as well.They have a great rewards system, just give them your phone number and you'll get a free pastry item or drink WAY faster than Starbucks.

Feels a little weird walking up to a gas station to work but this coffee shows a great atmosphere to get some work done. Has different indoor and outdoor sitting spaces for a variety of work styles. Ask for a ceramic mug if you're getting reg. coffee to get free refills
